العَفُو: هو الذي يترك المؤاخذة على الذنوب ولا يذكرك بالعيوب فهو يمحو السيئات ويتجاوز عن المعاصي.

“العَفُو” (Al-‘Afuww) is one of the most beloved and gentle Names of Allah. It means The Pardoner, The One who erases sins completely and lovingly, without blame or punishment.

This Name is especially powerful when you seek forgiveness, a clean slate, or inner peace — and it was the Name the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ recommended using most on Laylat al-Qadr, but it’s beautiful for Ashuraa and any day you seek closeness to Allah.

O Allah, You are Al-‘Afuww (The Pardoner), The Most Generous — You love to pardon, so pardon me. Forgive me, have mercy on me, erase all of my sins — those I know and those I don’t. Make me among Your pure, accepted, and beloved servants, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy. by @jannahcalls
