THANK YOU Francisco Alvarez for inviting me to be part of this special group exhibition Panamerican Colours II, of Latin American artists with a shared yet unique and personal history of diaspora, search of belonging and personal memories and experiences of a home that is near and far at the same time. Thank you @canada.council @panamfestto @gallery1313 After the opening reception I left inspired by the talented voices and diverse expressions of all the participating artists. Something happened to me tonight that is pushing me forward as an artist, a new insight and motivation!Francisco, I just want to make you see how your decision to make me part of this experience has had an important and positive impact in my artist journey going forward. I have had many exhibitions at Gallery 1313 during the years and I have always had a special appreciation for this space and Phil Anderson, the director of the gallery, who has made the space feel like home so many times, always welcoming, creating an unpretentious and inclusive environment. And last but not least, thank you to everyone who came to the opening in spite of thunderstorms and many other events happening in this great city at the same time.
