The best one yet. How lucky we are to discover and experience a country like this :)

The people, the food, the nature, but also the history and the scars it carries. A lot to take in, learn from and think about!

Somewhere in Hanoi I found a record store, and once again realised how music and the love for it somehow finds its way into every corner of the world. Fantastic dude running it too, so make sure to check it out when you’re there: @diathan.vintage :)

Three weeks of fuel, inspiration and calm away from our busy world. Battery and heart full, and very ready to bring some of it back into the studio. 😼

As a drawer makes sketches in a sketchbook, I made mine in Ableton after an inspiring weekend at Horst ✍️

This year I decided to leave the timetable behind and experience the festival on my own pace. Following the flow instead of a schedule led me to a lot of unexpected sounds, ideas and moments.

I wanted to capture those ideas as quickly as possible before they disappeared again.

Some of these sketches will grow into finished tracks, some will stay exactly as they are.

A little glimpse into the sketchbook :-)

Thanks to everyone I crossed paths with that weekend. The heart and soul are fully charged. taken in Asiat Park by @janrigo_

Lately I’ve been exploring and reconnecting with different sounds. This mix is part of that process. 😊 A selection of what’s been with me recently.

Recorded at home on vinyl, and available on my Soundcloud. Link in bio! by @janrigo_

The time has come to say goodbye to Jaen. :-)

I’m changing my artist name to Jan Rigo, which is my first name and the last name of my mother.

NYE will be my last gig as Jaen, and I’m making the change to Jan Rigo at the start of 2026.

____

The reason is simple, yet personal. Jaen was a beautiful journey. I explored, searched, learned and got to experience many sides of the scene. But somewhere along the way, I lost myself a little.

Shifting back to what matters most was fantastic for my mental health & body. I learned to listen again. Craft what’s close to my heart. Dance on what moves my feet.

The communities, record stores, clubs, … were so important during this time ( and still are!! ).

At some point, Jaen no longer reflected that feeling. And for me, a name has to represent the person behind it.

Jan Rigo feels closer.

The music moves forward under Jan Rigo. Past releases under Jaen stay where they belong. Except for @crate.17 , which I’ll keep building with the same love.

Thank you to everyone involved. You know who you are!!

Love you all :-) by @janrigo_
