Food2Kids! A non profit that provides weekend snack bags for elementary aged children throughout Lubbock county! Our Fuel the Weekend event was a huge success- thanks to the community support we got from so many of you!
I’m thankful for my church family that embraced this need under the leadership of Jerry Ramirez and Britt Gordon.
Having our Texas Tech head coach Krista Gerlich speak and the Lady Raiders attend was a special treat. David did a great job as MC- River Smiths Buffet was incredible- the decorations by JD Harvey designs was the icing on the cake - and truly the energy bunny behind it all was my friend Kelly Gordan! It’s truly amazing what like minded people can accomplish when what we have in common is a relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to serve His people!
If you want more information about this fabulous ministry - let me know below and I’ll be happy to send it to you!

These past few days have been so very special as I was blessed to be a part of my 50th high school reunion! It was just SO FUN! Here are just a few of the gazillion pictures I took and I bet I post more really soon! 🤩
The weekend included a casual gathering with a fantastic food truck at a classmates house! Thank you Steve and Joyce Holland.
Saturday we toured Coronado and the incredible Texas Tech Womble football facility!
Those tours were just the best! 🥰
Then we wrapped it up with a beautiful dinner and program Saturday night! We all have lots of life under our belts ,but
there is something really special when high school friends from 50 years ago choose to come together and remember the way we were.🥰
The 1st picture is of Carolanne - Laura and I. We had LOTS of help of course - but the 3 of us planned and led the charge. 🎉
I’ll never forget how wonderful it was! by @janthetford

Today was Maggie’s special day with granjan where we did whatever she wanted to do.
We started the day like her brothers did, eating breakfast at Crackle Barrel and she too loved the General store where she purchased a lovely princess dress. 👗

Then we went to where she got her ears pierced a few weeks ago for a little check up. Here she got a new pair of earrings with butterflies on them and she was pumped! 🤩 Then on to the mall where we went into every store that had earrings, tiarras, bracelets and rings. All things shiny is pretty much Maggie’s gig! 🥰
We looked at lots of stores in the mall including Dillards where she wanted to ride the escalators (I failed to get a pic.. should have🤪) and then we ended our day with a lemonade slush from Sonic. Maggie starts 1st grade on Thursday and I can barely stand it. Maggie is light! Always singing and telling me “interesting” things 😆❤️
I adore her.

It’s become tradition for me to wrap up summer having a day date with each of our local grandchildren by themselves. On their day, we do whatever they want to do and we go wherever they want to go.
It’s just a blast!
Myles chose pancakes at Crackerbarrel- stops at GameStop and Barnes and Nobel while wrapping up our day at Adventure Park!
Truman followed suit at Crackerbarrel with a quick game of checkers - a Target run and also wrapping the day up at Adventure Park.
A quick sonic drink run wrapped up both of their days! 🤩 I had so much fun just being in their space. Lots of great conversations! 🥰
I can hardly believe they are headed to 5th and 4th grade next week. I treasure these days!
Maggie’s day is next week! I can’t wait to see what she decides to do! ❤️
