The Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities in London, England.

Located on Mare Street in Hackney, this museum’s theme is challenging to pin down, except to say that its shelves upon shelves of random items that are simply… odd.

Objects you might find include: two-headed animals, skeletons, occult art, shrunken heads, and erotica, to name a handful. But for me the most impressive were jars of Amy Winehouse and Kylie Minogue’s poop.

When asked how he got those, curator Viktor Wynd cryptically responded: “I used to drink.” Makes sense, considering the space above the museum, which is a cocktail bar specialising in traditional absinthe. I came here on a date, and I haven’t seen her since.

Anyway, if you dig weird shit in London, then my novel The Lamb Prophecy is for you! It’s largely set in this city and is all about the Second Coming of Christ as a woman, setting the stage for my upcoming book, Breaking Her Promise to God. Oh my gosh, you gotta get ‘em both!

Westminster Abbey in London, England.

Believed to have existed in some form since at least the 8th century, this Anglican church is considered the most spiritually sacred place in London because that’s what the royals tell us.

Indeed, ever since William the Conqueror in 1066, every single British monarch has been crowned in this building. They’ve even made a little Coronation Chair for it, where royal butts have sat to become our postcard rulers since 1308.

Legend tells that in an effort to really boost the Abbey’s spiritual clout, Henry III contacted Robert of Nantes, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, and purchased from him a vessel containing blood shed by Jesus at the Crucifixion. It’s apparently somewhere here, although ordinary peasants like us can’t see it.

Nevertheless, there is no denying the Abbey as a feat of architectural brilliance with a high energetic presence. Plus it’s made even more special by the 3,300 people buried there. This includes 30 monarchs as well as Newton, Darwin, Hawking, and Dickens, culminating in a unique centerpoint of religion, royalty, science, and the arts.

Wow that sounds just like my novel The Lamb Prophecy, which is full of spiritual weirdness, quantum mechanics, and hierarchies of power. You should buy it, especially since its sister novel, Breaking Her Promise to God, is coming out on 30 October 2026.

Cardiff Castle in Wales.

While I am far more attracted to the waterfront, Cardiff Castle is probably this city’s main feature. Originally a 3rd-century Roman fort, Norman invaders turned it into a castle in the 11th century. Of course, hundreds of years of attacks, destruction, and rebuilds followed, but now it sits happily in the city centre as nothing more than a tourist attraction.

What’s even cooler are the 15 animal sculptures lining the street just outside.

Speaking of animals, one beast dominates Welsh culture: the red dragon on this nation’s flag. Legend tells of a white dragon, representing the Anglo-Saxons, invading the land but being defeated by the red dragon, representing the native Britons.

Dragons are, of course, rife across folklore, but not always with such high regard. The serpent motif was frequently used to represent the female, because shedding skin was linked to rejuvenation through childbirth. However, the theory goes that when men wished to claim mythology for themselves, they invented a sky weather god who defeated these female reptiles, as seen in numerous tales across global cultures.

Thankfully, female energy will dominate once again in the Age of Aquarius, which is the theme of my books Breaking Her Promise to God (coming soon) and The Lamb Prophecy (out now).

Hello and welcome to Glastonbury Town in the UK.

When you mention Glastonbury, most people think of the festival. But the history of the 9,000-person town is more spiritually important than any temporary gathering.

In what is most likely Britain’s signature move of forcing themselves into everything, legend tells that Jesus, as a child and his uncle, Joseph of Arimathea, came here to sell tin. Decades later, when Jesus died, his mourning uncle returned and established the Glastonbury Abbey, which, if true, would make it the oldest church in the world. He apparently also carried the chalice from the Last Supper, which sparked the tale of King Arthur and the Holy Grail.

Another landmark is Glastonbury Tor, with its tower from St Michael’s Church. Some consider it a place of high energy, especially of a feminine nature. Because of this, the town attracts witches, pagans, and occultists alike to worship the Goddess, making Glastonbury one of the world’s holiest spots for New Age practitioners.

This Christian-meets-Goddess perspective has merged fascinatingly, often favouring Mary the Virgin and Magdalene as focal points, placing them between crucifixes, crystals, herbs, esoteric literature, water healing, and 5G conspiracies. For me, many New Age principles apply to my philosophy, but I often felt disingenuous conversing with this demographic, and Glasto helped me see that this isn’t quite my vibration.

Nevertheless, I loved visiting the grave of Dion Fortune, one of Britain’s greatest occultists. Her book The Mystical Qabalah really helped me to grasp Jewish mysticism.

Speaking of female Abrahamic occult literature, my novel The Lamb Prophecy deals with the Second Coming of Christ as a woman. The next book in the series arrives in October, so grab this one now!

Temple of Pythons in Ouidah, Benin.

WARNING: this video contains animal footage that some viewers may find upsetting.

Into weirder Ouidah, and when people talk about voodoo, they’re usually referring to the Americas, but that religion was imported via the slavetrade with Benin as the source.

Because of this, a fair amount of tourism comes this way, especially to the Temple of Pythons. Here, dozens of snakes are worshipped as sacred animals by Vodun followers.

Even holier is The Sacred Forest of Kpassè with 4 hectares of land, most of which is hidden. But what we can see are many statues representing Vodun deities. The forest’s name comes from the 17th-century King Kpassè, who never died but transformed into this tree. Its supernatural powers are well known, making it an extremely sacred place to seek blessings.

Uneducated people define voodoo by two things.
The first is voodoo dolls, but that is only a small part of the practice. They are simply placing abstract intentions onto tangible material, for example, nurturing a plant as a representative for your financial success.
The second is animal sacrifice and that remains true.

So now we come to Ouidah market, where you may see things you don’t want to. I got permission to film this table of animal heads, most shockingly featuring rows of dogs, but I saw a lot more, including bats, owls, and even baboons. These are used for sacrificial offerings. My guide showed me a video of his possessed friend slicing the throat of a goat and sucking the blood from the wound.

As a vegetarian who also appreciates preserving religious traditions, I was torn. But the truth is, what happens in our slaughterhouses and factory farms is far more cruel and unjustified, so who is to say?

And on that potent note, my 10-country African trip came to an end. Thank you for having me!

The Door of No Return in Ouidah, Benin

I spent most of my Benin time in Cotonou, which has its own boasting points, including the Amazon Monument, the second-tallest statue in Africa.

That said, one tricycle ride away is Ouidah, a city far richer in history with two stories so distinct, I had to split them into two videos. This is the first one, talking about one of the most atrocious occurrences in human history.

What you are looking at is Tchatcha Square. From the 16th to the 19th century, this served as the central market during the transatlantic slave trade. Here, on any given day, you would find thousands of enslaved humans, captured by the African Kingdom of Dahomey (Da-omey) and then sold to Europeans, sometimes for as little as tobacco or decorative shells.

Slaves were then marched for hundreds of kilometres to tire them out and lose their bearings. The weak were tossed into a pit to die while those who remained would desperately circle this tree, hoping the gods would hear them and save their souls.

And that brings us to the Door of No Return. Built in 1995, it is a memorial arch marking the precise place where over one million enslaved Africans were deported. Across two centuries, 12.75 million human beings were stolen from Africa in total, with around 2 million dying on the voyage alone.

This remains an ugly stain on our collective soul. However, if we dare to find a silver lining, it’s that West African religious beliefs went with their people, smuggling Yoruba and Vodun (voe-doo) into the Americas, where they continue to flourish today. That’s more what the next video is about.

The OĚŁsĚŁun-OĚŁsĚŁogbo Sacred Grove in Nigeria.

Slightly disappointed by Ife and desperate for a holy experience, we went to our final Nigerian stop: Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove, and it was by far the most spiritual place I found in this country, with a backstory just as inspirational.

According to Yoruba belief, this Osun River is a fully-fledged deity or an Orisha, who is broadly concerned with fertility. You are looking at a genuine goddess, my friends. When this natural area came under threat of demolition and neglect, an Austrian-born woman named Susanne Wenger had a genius idea. She appealed to local artists to join her in erecting huge statues. It didn’t take long before these undeniably holy creations caught public interest, and the urban expansion ceased in favour of something far more mystical, with UNESCO recognition following.

Unfortunately, I do not feel it’s appropriate to share everything I saw, but I will tell you there were queues of women looking to bathe their daughters in the fertility water, there were buckets of blood, and there were decapitated goats. Meanwhile, I tried my best to be respectful, but made some mistakes. For example, I foolishly tried to walk through this structure, and if you listen carefully, you can hear them shouting at me.

That shook me. Still, I look back on the grove with extreme fondness. All I seek is high-energy feeling places, and in Africa, this was the one. This is why I travel.
