Some aspects in the Lando Norris vs Oscar Piastri 's fight for the championship:

Things that could suggest that Oscar's car is not only more reliable but also a faster one than the one of Norris:

🔸Norris is mostly not able to overtake Oscar in the start, even Max Verstappen in his far inferior Redbull is doing better than Lando.

🔸Even within the DRS enabled and with Oscar without DRS Norris is not even able to keep it within a second behind for more than a lap. Today's dutch race showed us this time after time.

🔸 Today's race also showed that Oscar can have as many restarts after the security car he wants cause Norris is never a challenge from behind. ,

🔸 Here's what McLaren CEO Zac Brown said after Norris had to retire : (Smiling) "he was gonna win that race" (referring to Piastri that was only a bit over a second beyond Norris with 7 laps left when the issue started) .

Brown about Norris: "he would have finished second". While Norris in another interview said for real that he actually had a fair change to come before Oscar, it was dismissed by the SEO suspicious enough..

So this is extremely rare seeing the complete superior F1 McLaren breaking down and of course we all knew who it happened for... taken in Norway by @japsedeler_tools

Follow for fresh Toyota GR GT updates ! Racing driver Kazuya Oshima showing the abilities of the street car Toyota GR GT in Tainan Taiwan this weekend. Also Toyota president Morizo Toyoda showed up and the supercars got a lot of attention at the exhibition. The supercar was received with a lot of enthusiasm and interest among the Asians.

Is Oscar being treated fairly by McLaren ? Oscar Piastri has only 2 podiums this season (2. and 3.) while his teammate has 5 podiums including 2 wins. The reasons why Oscar Piastri is not performing very well this season:

🔸The new cars of 2026 does not suit Oscar as good as the 2025 cars.

🔸The cars of 2026 has 30 % less downforce in addition to smaller tyres which means grip is reduced.

🔸Oscar was also in the 2025 season performing at a lower levels on tracks with less grip.

🔸Oscar's driving style is based on a preference for braking late before a curve and turn the car sharply - something that is not possible with the new cars.

🔸In addition it's possible that Oscar Piastri like some other drivers is not comfortable with focusing on how to manage the energy (energy saving)

🔸After Lando Norris became champion last season there are indications that the team is not listening as much as before to Oscar when it comes to preferences and assistants.

🔸It's not unlikely that losing the championship during the last races of the previous season has done something with his self-esteem.

The Toyota GR GT and GR GT3 (shown in clip) were this weekend participating as part of the Toyota's "GR city showrun" in the city of Tainan, Taiwan. Drivers participating were Hiroaki Ishiura and Kazuya Oshima. After returning from the Monterey car week in the USA the Toyota GR GT3 was in a training session with Porsches at the Nurburgring Norschleife on the september 11 . This is now the first time we see them together since mid August. There is no doubt that Toyota want to show its new supercars to all potential big markets.

Did you enjoy the Baku F1 race as well ? The Baku race became the first race this season without the 2026 "Jojo overtakes". On the longest stretch the cars did lack battery power, but on the other hand there was a large portion of the "slip stream effect" benefiting most cars driving behind another one. Both Redbull cars seemed to be benefiting from the effect particularly, and Max Verstappen almost won the race instead of George Russel. For many F1 pure racing enthusiasts this race warmed a heart that has been reluctant of the energy saving focused 2026 races. It was not only the slip stream effect, but the joy of seeing top F1 RACING drivers chasing and fighting each other again ! by @japsedeler_tools

The Toyota GR GT3 once again returned to the Nurburgring Norschleife on September 11. It was once again allowed to drive with several Porsche drivers. It seems like the Germans are more than willing to see their competitor on their home ground. Several photo shots and videos of the details and setup of the Japanese prototype car have been recorded. Max Verstappen has openly criticized the new cars that went from 80 % to about only 52 % combustion engine partition from 2025 to 2026. The 2026 cars are highly dependent on how the driver is managing the available electric energy from the battery of the hybrid system. It has become obvious that even on tracks where the electric energy is more frequently available it's still important for the driver to save energy and use it on parts of the track where it's necessary.
