📚 2025-2026 AVCA Academic Team! 📚

Congratulations to the 2025-2026 team for maintaining a 96 overall average on a 100 point scale and a 4.0 GPA. The Lady Raiders also earned the Academic Honor Roll Distinction!

“Volleyball programs from across the country continue to enjoy widespread success off the court as 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award by maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).

“It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season,” said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. “We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs.”

The AVCA also celebrates programs in the top 20 percent for their division by recognizing them with the Team Academic Honor Roll distinction.“ taken in Jackson Academy by @jaraidervb

🔥Fueled by Faith🔥

As we begin the 2026 season, our program is committed to something greater than wins and losses. This year’s theme, Fueled by Faith, is a reminder that our strength, perseverance, and purpose come from our trust in Christ.

Throughout every challenge, celebration, setback, and success, we want to be a team that competes with confidence, serves with humility, and reflects God’s love in the way we treat others. Our faith is the foundation that grounds us, the fire that motivates us, and the source of the joy that carries us through every season.

Thank you to our senior class of 2027 for prayerfully leading the development of this year’s theme and helping set the vision for our program.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.” — Romans 15:13

🥈 MAIS MIDDLE SCHOOL RUNNER-UP 🥈

Congratulations to our Middle School team on finishing as the MAIS Tournament Runner-Up!

These girls battled until the very last point, falling just short in a hard-fought three-set championship match, 14-16 in the deciding set.

We are thankful for Coach Smithers and Coach Cornelius and their hours of hard work and dedication to the girls and this program.

The growth this group showed throughout the season has been incredible. Middle School A team consisted of 6th-8th graders and some girls who were playing volleyball for the very first time. We are so proud of their improvement, determination, and the way they competed for one another. So much to be proud of and an exciting future ahead for JA Volleyball!
