And here we are! The first official Atlantic hurricane of the season takes aim at the gulf coast. This is the first time in history that the 1st Atlantic hurricane forms this late in the season, and he is a nice one. Isaias is now a category 3, with sustained winds of around 120MPH and will make landfall late tonight in the Florida panhandle and the Alabama coast. This is a very powerful storm and the storm surge will near 15+ feet. There will be residual climactic effects in surrounding regions, including the Atlanta metro area thru the weekend. I know it’s been a minute since I’ve made any weather posts, but I am here and if you have questions…I have answers. 😉 put em in the comments or feel free to DM me and I gotcha. #metoerology #weathergeek #hurricane #meteorologist #journeywithjarard by @jarard_j

Issa special time in my family! It’s the beautiful 31st anniversary of the beginning of the union between my 1st cousin @velvetvox44 and his amazing wife @carol_bb_80 ! It has been uplifting for me to watch the example of how they treat each other, how they respect each other, how they admire each other, and how they LOVE each other over the course of my maturation as a man. Please stop by for a moment and show them some love. They are one of the couples we should all look at as the blueprint of what it supposed to look like. Cheers🥂🍻🥂to many more years together in love! #family #anniversary #blacklove #theblueprint by @jarard_j

Gratitude is an energy that every person wants to absorb from others. We all yearn to feel that someone appreciates us for who we try to be for them…for how we “show up” for them. And when we know that someone has gratitude towards us, we feel important. We feel needed…we feel VALUABLE.

But, those of us who do what we can to elevate others because we truly want to see them shine…truly wanna see them win, we do it for the love of it. We do it for the love of THEM. We DONT do it for notoriety. The story of a hero always should come from the person whose life has been made easier. The story is only impactful when it comes from the beneficiary. Hero’s don’t tell their own story, because the heroism within them isn’t fed from a hunger of validation. by @jarard_j
