Shared Rain for New York City Ballet premieres in a couple of hours….its more than music. As NYCB soloist Jules Mabie described, the piece explores "vulnerability while being caught in the same storm as someone else. Sometimes finding comfort in another person and sometimes struggling against them, but ultimately sharing the same space, the same weather, and the same experience."

DIARIES, NOTES, & SKETCHES // Our Fall Fashion Gala film outlines the processes used by each of the choreographers and fashion designers who collaborated for New York City Ballet’s 2026 Fall Fashion Gala. This annual event, celebrates the convergence of couture and choreography through visionary new works presented on NYCB’s stage.

Delve deeper into the inspiration behind Alysa Pires’ Auspicy, with designs from Viktor&Rolf, Resident Choreographer Justin Peck’s newest pas de deux, Mirror/Sky, made in collaboration with designer Simone Rocha, and Jennifer Archibald’s first commission for NYCB, Shared Rain, with designs by Robert Wun.
