The Grain Bin is up! A couple days, and a couple thousand bolts, and the bin is ready for the next step. #buildweird #buildingoutsidethelines #bestdayever by @jared.cappie.capp

We’ve worked with grain bins a handful of times and it’s still such a strange site to me to see them suspended from cables as we build them. #buildweird #buildingoutsidethelines #bestdayever by @jared.cappie.capp

One of the things I love about technology and tools, is getting to share them with my Dad. I grew up building with my dad, and there wasn’t a lot of specialty tools or “nice to haves”I recently got a new @milwaukeetool M12 borescope, and I got to use it for the first time to work on one of the trailers. I took it over to show Larry, and he said it was very different from the first one he ever had. #newtool #buildweird #buildingoutsidethelines #bestdayever by @jared.cappie.capp

I had an opportunity to try out @caterpillarinc new AI Assistant on a mini ex. You can ask it to run machine functions, turn on the lights, set the E floor/ceiling, code look ups and more. It’s able to bridge the gap for new operators, with hands-free manual lookup. This was a blast to take for a spin. #buildweird #buildingoutsidethelines #bestdayever #magnolianetwork by @jared.cappie.capp

<dreamy sigh> fall weddings, tho.

We love hosting weddings. Big love. Delighted joy. Happy tears. Family.

We take care of the happy couple from the first tour, to the meeting with Chef, to custom cocktails/mocktails, to parking attendants, to cleanup.

Be nervous about not tripping through tear-filled eyes and laughter. Don’t be nervous about anything else.

@etrailer_ to the rescue! After getting the new @legendxtruckbeds truck beds installed, I didn’t realize that the new receivers were 2 1/2”. All of the hitches we have are for 2”. I jumped on eTrailer.com one night after work, thinking it would be a pretty simple solve, but was shocked to see hundreds of pages and even more options for hitches. It was a little overwhelming if I’m being honest, so I decided to use the chat function on the website and after a short conversation, they led me to the hitch we ultimately decided on. A BW Tow & Stow. This solved a couple problems for us. The first was not having the hitch stick out over a foot behind the truck, which you were an inevitably hit with your shin when you’re not paying attention, also a rattle free solution. I love having the adjustability, not only vertically, but to switch back-and-forth between a 2 & 2 5/16” ball. #buildweird #buildingoutsidethelines #bestdayever by @jared.cappie.capp

My trip to @caterpillarinc facility in Peoria left me awestruck. I went into this event, being excited about the opportunity to operate some new equipment, that I’ve never used before, but left with a whole new appreciation for the the innovation that Caterpillar has implemented not only in safety, but in overall performance and usability of the machines. A+ experience #buildweird #buildingoutsidethelines #bestdayever by @jared.cappie.capp

Working on stacking the grain bin today. We use these mechanical lift jacks, called “A Frames” there’s a plate that bolts to the side of the bin through the existing holes, and there is a hand crank ratchet system that you slowly raise the bin up and then add another ring of wall section to the bottom, then repeat. We should have this all stacked up in the next few days, and then we gotta cut some holes for windows and doors.. #buildweird #buildingoutsidethelines #bestdayever #hifromsd by @jared.cappie.capp
