“If you want to claim, at some future point in history, to have been alive and present in the year 2026, you should probably go see The Odyssey in theatres, with the biggest possible crowd, on the best possible screen. And when your grandchildren ask you (by mind-text, through their AI agents), you’ll be able to say, yes, I was there, I saw it with my own two eyes.” by @jaredayoung

To commemorate the anniversary of D-Day, Elio built a @lego recreation of the 3rd Canadian Infantry landing on Juno Beach. With his obsessive knowledge of military history, I can only assume it’s completely historically accurate. Easter egg: one of these figures is his great-grandfather, the war correspondent Charles Lynch, who was there that day!

Used up his allowance money to buy all the water and sand pieces from the loose brick bin at the Lego store.

When I was eight, I built…spaceships. And sometimes space-cruisers. And space-jets. And that was about it.
