🟦 Tuesday Topic: Leadership 🟦

This week I’m throwing it back and talking about something that drives everything we do here — leadership and culture.

My leadership style is a mix of transformational vision and coaching-style development. I believe in setting clear structure and procedures, leading with positivity, and helping people grow. When your team feels supported and inspired, morale stays high and culture becomes something you can feel the moment you walk in to our UMI branch.

I’m proud that colleagues, employees, customers, and industry partners constantly tell me they value my leadership and the relationships we build here in the Long Island market. That trust means everything.

Leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about energy, consistency, and how you make people feel. I am lucky to have a group of great leaders in this organization to work with!

Before this week’s Tuesday Topic, I just want to say THANK YOU. Because of the incredible support from our customers, fabricators, designers, builders, and partners, UMI Long Island has officially outgrown our current home… and we’re moving! 🎉

When UMI acquired the former European location, we made the most of a 15,000 sq. ft. facility. But thanks to the way Long Island has embraced UMI, we’ve simply outgrown it.

Now it’s time for a major upgrade.

We’re excited to be moving to a beautiful 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Woodbury featuring all indoor slab storage, brighter viewing areas, a stunning new showroom, inspiring displays, and even more of the premium natural stone and surfacing materials that UMI is known for.

This move means we can finally showcase our incredible inventory the way it deserves to be seen—and give you a dramatically better shopping experience for every project.

This isn’t just a new building—it’s an investment in our customers and the future of UMI Long Island. We can’t wait to welcome you to our new home. Stay tuned as we take you along for the journey!
