At the opening of @jaredbuschangstudio in @mala.audiobar Medellín, a New York artist based in Cartagena living in a deconstructed world of his own, his paintings layer memory, instinct and compositions that at first feel disjointed, yet quietly resolve over time.

The Way of Things by Jared Buschang (2010–Ongoing)

This series examines the oddities of human decision making by substituting a subject’s face with unrelated objects. Buschang has framed the series as an effort to produce serious photographs built for entertainment, treating each substitution as a deadpan formal device rather than a sight gag. by @jaredbuschangstudio

Some photos from college in nyc. Most of these pictures were taken in 2008 and 2009 between Jamaica, Queens and Manhattan and a few from back in Rochester. Always fun to look back at old work. taken in Cartagena, Colombia by @jaredbuschangstudio
