There’s a few days left before our first Buddy Walk with Michiana Down Syndrome Family Support & Advocacy Group this weekend!

So many of you have donated to our local Down syndrome community by voting for Anna. Your donations help more than you know, and 100% goes to supporting our community. We all volunteer in some capacity within our group, as there are no paid roles, so all your donations truly support everything.

We don’t have any visibility to who has donated or how much was donated. If you donated, thank you for your generosity, for supporting our family, for being Anna’s biggest fans. When we received her diagnosis, we had to go through the grieving process for what we *thought* we were losing (story for another day), but we had no idea what we were getting. We have been surprised by Anna’s joy, laughter, and her vivaciousness. She is her own person and has her own personality. If I have done only one good thing in my entire life, it would be bringing Anna into this world. God really showed off with her.

We had a great check up yesterday with the cardiologist. The didn't see the hole anymore from the patch so it either healed up on its own or she was moving too much to get a picture of it. The mitral valve still has a mild leak but nothing alarming. We don't have to come back for another check up for 6 months!!! by @jaredcarnell

We make Dad take pictures of us everywhere that they are flowers, because we’re raising a Junior Park Ranger over here! We visited our local National park @indianadunesnps to get Anna the Interagency Access Park. So, so, so thankful for it. It is a free, lifetime pass that grants access to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites including all the National Parks, Forests, and wildlife refuges. The pass is available to US citizens or permanent residents of any age who have a medically determined permanent disability. Since Anna has Down syndrome, we got the pass. We have visited national parks and collected patches over our almost 17 (!!!!) years together, and now we get to do it with her! #downsyndrome #nationalparks #motherhood disabledparenting gooutside @nationalparkservice taken in Indiana Dunes National Park by @jaredcarnell
