I didn’t arrive at this work by accident.

Losing my dad taught me what happens when health is always something you “get to later.”
Overtraining taught me that discipline without perspective can be just as dangerous.
A cardiac ablation taught me that intensity doesn’t equal longevity.

Here’s what I see now:

Most capable dads don’t avoid their health because they don’t care.
They avoid it because they don’t trust the process anymore.

They’ve been burned before.
They don’t want to pay for another bad decision.

That’s why I coach dads the way I do;
with structure, restraint, and long-term thinking.

Follow along to continue this journey.

You know how to train.
You’ve been in gyms.
You’ve pushed your body before.

But somewhere between work, kids, stress, and responsibility…
your energy dropped, your discipline slipped, and you started stopping and starting.

Not because you’re lazy.
Because life got heavier and you tried to carry it alone.

I know this road.

I’m a physiotherapist, firefighter, and father of three.
I’ve competed in Ironman triathlons, marathons, qualified for Boston and I’ve also rebuilt my body from a place where I could barely walk around the block.

I’ve seen firsthand what happens when a father’s health quietly erodes.
My own dad’s decline cost him his life at 53 and it left a hole I still carry.

That’s why Built 2 Carry exists.

It's for dads who want:
Their energy back.
Consistent training that fits real life.
Strength they can rely on.
Habits that actually stick.
To be present for years, not just now.

This is 1:1 coaching for men who are done pretending they can “figure it out on their own.”

If you’re a dad over 40
If you were once athletic
If you’re tired of starting over
And you’re ready to ask for help without being talked down to...
You’re in the right place.

If not, that’s okay too.

But if this resonates
Stay. Read. And when you’re ready,
reach out.

Ten years from now, there are two versions of you.

Both are possible.

Only one of them requires a decision today.

Swipe to see which one you’re building. ➡️

Scroll Instagram for five minutes and you’ll see him.

Shredded. Shirtless. Thirty years old with a ring light and a pre-workout sponsor.

He doesn’t inspire me. Not even a little.

You know who does?

The 70-year-old Nonno still in the gym on a Tuesday morning. The guy who’s been showing up for decades. Who moves well, carries himself with strength, and still gets after it. Not to impress anyone, but because it’s just who he is.

That’s the guy I’m building myself to be.

Not the guy who looked the best at 30. The guy who’s still there at 70. Still strong. Still capable. Still around.

That’s the goal. Not aesthetics. Not a physique. A life worth living.

If that version of you sounds worth building, you’re in the right place.

Right now, I have never felt busier.

Wifie. Three kids. A job as a firefighter. My work at Defy. And trying to build a coaching business that changes dads’ lives the way my dad never got the chance to change his.

Some days it feels impossible.

But here’s what I know for certain: if I don’t get the workout in before the kids wake up, if I skip the morning run, if I stop doing the things that take care of not just my body but my head then none of the rest of it works.

The workout isn’t selfish. It’s my foundation.

I’m not training to look good. I’m training so I can show up for every single thing that matters. My wife. My kids. My patients. My clients. My crew at the station.

When I skip it, I feel it everywhere.

I lost my dad at 20. I watched his health decline for years before that. I know what it looks like when a man stops taking care of himself and I personally know what it costs his family.

That’s why I get up early. That’s why I don’t miss days.

Not because I’m disciplined. Because I know what the alternative looks like.

You probably do too.

If you’ve been telling yourself you’ll get back to it when things slow down, I’m here to tell you it doesn’t slow down. You just decide to taken action.

If you’re ready to decide, link in bio. Let’s build something that lasts.

The amount of times I have to participate in the same conversation where someone my same age tells me they can't train the same way because they're older, or they have to go to this physio or this chiro or this osteo to get fixed up because their body keeps breaking down, is painful.

They can't get out of their own way because as men we either think we know best or we think we should be able to do it on our own.

That mentality, those old programmes and those old ways of training just don't work anymore.

If you're ready to take some action and have somebody make something completely custom for you, let me know. taken in Guelph, Ontario by @jaredlando

Who shows up healthy enough to carry the load with her. Who has enough in the tank at the end of the day to actually be present. Who models what it looks like to take care of yourself, not because it’s selfish, but because the people you love need you whole.

That’s the standard Built 2 Carry is built around.

Not six-pack abs. Not a PR on the deadlift.

A dad who is strong enough to carry everything that matters.

Who’s that for you?

We all said we wouldn’t end up like our parents.

For some of you, that meant their marriage. Their career. Their attitude.

For some of us, it meant something heavier.

It meant watching them go from the dad who coached your baseball team, who ran around with you, threw the football in the street, to someone you barely recognized.

You could see it in their eyes. Their energy. It was written on their body.

And I always knew.

Here’s the thing about decline: it rarely has a moment. It doesn’t announce itself. It just creeps in. Through the habits. The choices. The small decisions you keep putting off until Monday.

Look around. Is this starting for you?

You owe it to yourself to be honest about that answer.

More than that, you owe it to them.

Your kids are watching. Not your Instagram. You. What you do every day is the standard they’ll hold themselves to.

The cost of inaction isn’t just your health. It’s the story they’ll carry about who their dad was.

Change the story. Let’s go.

There is no perfect time.

There’s only the decision to start in the life you have.

If you’re ready, DM me and let’s talk about what that could look like for you.

Your job is extremely demanding.

You’re running all over the place taking your kids from hockey practice to lacrosse to extra time in the cage.

Your energy levels are requiring more and more coffee.

And the number on the scale keeps going up.

That cycle doesn’t break on its own.

No one ends up there by accident.

It’s slow. Quiet. Easy to ignore.

Until it’s not.

If this feels familiar, you don’t need more information.

You need to make a decision.

If this is your moment, DM MISSION and let’s talk about working together.

At some point, a lot of dads start saying the same thing:

“I guess this is just what getting older feels like.”

The stiffness.
The random pain.
The hesitation before you move.

And slowly… they start doing less.

Less running.
Less lifting.
Less playing.

Not because they want to—
but because they don’t trust their body anymore.

But here’s the truth:

It’s not your age.

It’s the gap between what your life demands…
and what your body is prepared for.

And that gap can be closed.

With strength.
With structure.
With consistency.

You’re not trying to go back.

You’re building a version of you that can handle more than ever before.

Stronger.
More capable.
More reliable.

That’s what your kids see.

And that’s what they remember.
