When Jared was 31, he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. After months of chemo and failed donor matches, an anonymous blood stem cell donor from Germany was found and Jared's life-saving cells were flown across the world in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recovery brought setbacks—hip replacements, side effects and discovering his "new normal." But six years later, he's thriving. His message to fellow patients: "This is temporary."

Today, Jared gives back through NMDP's Board of Ambassadors. "Being a beacon of hope to fellow patients is very important to me." 💙

We went to broadway honey, ever heard of her? Saw Ari’s iconic return to the great white way as Connie Francis in Just In Time, twice. Witnessed Megan thee Stalter on her last day in Oh, Mary! We also had a tea party at Bergdorf’s, chicken tenders at the Big Apple’s Big Applebee’s & pretended to walk around Central Park.
