Years ago, before Lexus, before the sales floor, I was a pastor. And more Sunday nights than I want to admit, I sat in my office wondering if the work was making any difference at all.

Nobody claps for the prep. Nobody sees the phone call you almost didn’t make, the extra lap, the rep after your legs said stop. That work happens in silence, and it happens alone.

But it’s the only work that counts.

Go One More.

This is Motivational Monday, one of the six pillars you’ll see from me every week. Welcome to the page.

Every Monday morning I sit down with my team and we run through the numbers from the week before. Logged deals, working deals, booked deals. No excuses, no spin, just the truth about where we stand.

The associates who are winning aren’t the ones with the best talent in the room. They’re the ones who showed up prepared. They knew their product, they knew their process, they made the calls nobody was watching them make.

Dabo Swinney said it best: separation is built in preparation. It doesn’t happen on the sales floor. It happens before you ever walk onto it.

Nobody sees the 5am work. Everybody sees the result.

This is Leadership Tuesday, one of the six pillars you’ll see from me every week. Glad you’re here.

4am comes early no matter what’s on the schedule that day. Some mornings the legs feel fresh and the pace comes easy. Most mornings they don’t. Most mornings it’s just me, a headlamp, and the decision to go anyway.

Nobody’s grading those runs. There’s no crowd, no clock that matters, no one to impress. And that’s exactly why they matter more than any other mile I’ll run this year.

Boston isn’t won on the days you feel like a champion. It’s won on the days you didn’t feel like getting out of bed and laced up anyway.

Consistency over intensity. Separation isn’t found in the one great workout. It’s found in the hundred average ones nobody saw.

This is Running Thursday, one of the six pillars you’ll see from me every week. Boston Qualified or die trying.

Our sweet momma went to be with Jesus last night. 🪽

She was many things to us. Mom, provider, confidant, encourager. She gave of herself freely so my brothers and I could pursue our dreams and interests. She was the epitome of “sports mom” and cheered proudly through all of our trials and accomplishments.

As an adult, she grew into being my best friend. My constant source of peace and joy through life’s ups and downs. The hardest part of dementia is grieving the closeness that the disease limits in the present, but I sure loved hearing her childhood memories that she could recall vividly.

She was the very best Gigi to her grandbabies. She loved them dearly and had a unique bond with them individually. Soft, tender, silly, huggy, and always loving. Watching her bond with Avery is a gift I will forever be grateful for.

I took the first picture one week before she passed. She was having a tough day. Uncomfortable and agitated. I turned down the music that had been playing and looked up songs from an old hymnal. She immediately closed her eyes and put her hands up as I sang. Even in her struggles, our momma praised Jesus. Her faith remained strong until the very end of her earthly life.

Her legacy is love. Love for the three of us. Love for her grandkids. Love for her family and friends. Love of singing and music and laughter. We will carry her love with us each day and spread her legacy with all we encounter.

I can hear your pretty alto voice singing in Heaven and see the bright smile on your face. I love you, momma. Forever and ever, amen. ❤️ by @jaredmccaleb

In loving memory of our mom, the woman who spent her whole life putting everyone else first.

February 5, 1953 – October 4, 2026

This evening, Mom went home to be with Jesus.

Her greatest legacy was never something she owned. It was the people she loved. Today we said goodbye and we are realizing just how much of her will live on through all of us.

To her grandkids, she was Gigi. She was the best to our children! To everyone who knew her, she was a great encourager who absolutely loved to laugh. If you spent five minutes with her, you walked away feeling better about yourself and usually laughing too.

Mom never asked what something would cost her. She only asked who needed help. She gave up her time, her comfort, and her own plans again and again for the good of others, and she never once kept score.

She inspired all of us. And more than anything, she pointed us to Jesus. She had followed Him since she was a little girl, and her life made it easy for us to believe what she believed.

Tonight she is with Him. We are heartbroken, and we are grateful. Both are true.

To our family, friends, and loved ones: thank you for your prayers and support. Memorial service details will follow soon.

We love you, Mom. Thank you for showing us the way home. We will see you again.

#TBT: One of my all-time favorites!

Texas Stadium, April 11, 2010. The morning they tore it down, my mom was there at dawn, coffee in hand, smiling like it was kickoff.

That’s who she is. She shows up. For her team, for her people, for the moments that matter.

Buildings come down. Loyalty like hers doesn’t. I love you so much mom, and you inspire me!💙⭐️ taken in Irving, Texas by @jaredmccaleb

Wrote myself a note today.

“Don’t compare your chapter 9 to someone else’s chapter 29.”

Everyone you’re measuring yourself against skipped chapters you never saw.

Stay on your page. Keep writing. ✍️
