New Afton | The World Below (DC)

Full edit on @newparallel. ⛏️

This project was insane; one of the hardest things I’ve worked on. And not just the film but what our team pulled off together.

I wanted to capture what it’s actually like working in underground mining, and honestly it’s so hard to explain it until you’ve lived it - a week over 1,000 metres beneath the earth. 40°C heat, humidity, dust, darkness, everything working against you. It gave me a whole new respect for the people who do this every day, and put into perspective how much of our everyday lives runs on hard work most of us never see.

So grateful for the crew of friends who made this happen. We pushed each other through some rough days and I’m proud of what came out of it. Huge shout out to everyone involved, especially @morgan.tien for helping turn my crazy ideas into something real. Couldn’t have done it without y’all. ❤️

One must lose themselves entirely, to discover who they truly are.

With @nikerunning’s time-tested products, @braydo.mills bridges the gap between his old and new self—embracing the paradoxes essential to personal growth.

This project quickly evolved from a small idea into a massive labour of love, made possible only by the incredibly talented people involved. We’re beyond grateful for each of you and the passion, creativity, and dedication you’ve brought to every step of this journey. Special shoutout to @braydomills for absolutely sending it this past year. Love you all! 🫶
