Praise God, Praise God! We closed on our newest property (vacation home) and it was by far the most challenging purchase to date. This process was considerably harder than buying our primary residence or any of our investment properties. I’ll save the details for another day, but we spent all summer on this deal and I will just say this was a classic reminder that irrespective of your success, assets, and scores, there are particular things that certain people don’t believe certain people should be able to obtain.

We heard it all (“people y’all’s ages don’t buy second homes” to “why do you want a property so close to your primary residence” blah blah) and although we mainly wanted it for personal use, we did view it from an investment perspective as follows: Dallas is one of the fastest growing cities in the world (via residential, investment banking, and corporate imprints) and to us, this area (Victory Park neighborhood) is the premier area in the city and still just at the beginning of what it will eventually be. When reviewing the city’s construction plans and running the financial appreciation analysis, the deal could not have been any better for our longterm goals.

No secret sauce, just trying to stack good days. Day in the life of a corporate attorney who day trades. 📈

Real numbers. Real wins. Real losses. And a few things I’ve learned along the way.

1. +$78K — biggest trade
2. -$33K — biggest loss
3. $134K — biggest trading month
4. $146K — biggest signing bonus
5. Bitcoin or stocks? It’s complicated.
6. Most overlooked employer benefit? Mega Backdoor Roth.
7. Most impactful book? Too Big to Fail.
8. Plus a few things I think everyone should know about money.

Making money is one skill. Keeping it, growing it, and learning from the mistakes along the way are entirely different ones.

You don’t know what you don’t know. 💰5 small money moves that can make a huge difference.

Some of these are aggressive, but options to consider (not recommended for everyone).

1. Trump Accounts — if you have kids, learn how these new tax-advantaged investment accounts work. You can get $1,000 automatically for eligible children.

2. HSA investing — don’t automatically leave your HSA sitting in cash. See what investment and brokerage options your provider offers.

3. ESPP — check whether your employer lets you purchase company stock at a discount.

4. 401(k) brokerage window — your investment options may go well beyond the standard funds your plan puts in front of you.

5. Proxy statements — if you work for a public company, learn how your company actually compensates its executives and what types of additional compensation it uses.

The little things add up.

Just a short story of a girl picking up her newest bag with her little family on Labor Day. People are just going to have to call me country, because I’ll never act like I’ve been here before. 🥂😄👩🏾‍🌾 💅🏾👜 Thank you again, baby! #LVhighrise #Grateful taken in Louis Vuitton by @jaredsfoto

Most recent market move: was up 77k on the NVDA Jan ‘27 $70s and rolled them into the Dec ‘27 $80s. Same conviction, same analysis, but just locking in some profit while extending the timeframe. Win–win 🤝🏾📈.

This is truly a season of abundance. What started as a rocky year has become one of blessings and restoration. Remember, only He can do it and everyone has their season. 🌱🙌🏾 #optionstrading #options #blessings #nvda #tradingsetups #tradingdesk taken in Wall Street by @jaredsfoto
