Insane book haul!

Barnes and Noble is always a trap….. but I keep coming back.

I’m pretty excited about this haul, it pretty much makes up my entire October TBR. Let me know some spooky books you have on your radar.
I’m still tweaking this new set up so I apologize for the poor lighting again. I will figure it out.

I am sorry about the poor lighting. I got a new tripod/phone mount for my desk and I wanted to see what this set up looks like.
Let me know what you guys are reading!

My Top 10 Protagonists in Scifi/Fantasy

This is MY top 10. I have only read book 1 of ASOIAF so Jon Snow could rise on this list once I read more from that series. I do think you are objectively wrong if Hadrian is not a top 5 character for you lol.

The Fires of Heaven - Robert Jordan

5.0 stars ⭐️

It took awhile but we finally got our first 5 star in the Wheel of Time. I know a lot of you may have The Shadow Rising higher ranked, but this book was just a bit more enjoyable for me. Rand al’Peak was aura farming, and I actually really enjoyed Nynaeve’s arc in this story.

Let me know what you guys thought about The Fires of Heaven and where you have it ranked.

Reading Recap 2026: Week 36

Books read 📚
• Lord of Chaos - I am feeling completely immersed in this world right now. I am flying high and I can’t get enough of the Wheel of Time. This book had an 80 page prologue btw, 80 PAGES! The hype is real and I can’t wait to continue this book this week.

What did you read this week?

Book Rec’s For Those Who Enjoy Peak part 4

We got our first Sanderson entry this time. I’m definitely lacking on my Sanderson since I have only read Mistborn era 1 from him.

Let me know about any peak books that I didn’t mention!

A very late September TBR

I had my bachelor party earlier this month so I’m a little behind on my reading so far lol.

I am about 200 pages into Lord of Chaos and I’m loving this book and series so much. I’m tempted to jump into book 7 afterwards but we will see how I feel after a 900 page book. Tigana is definitely a must read for this month and I hope to jump back into The Bloodsworn Saga.

What are you guys planning on reading this month? I would love to know.

The Wheel of Time was my obsession to start the year and I’m falling back into the obsession again now. I’ve had my ups and downs with this series but it has mostly been super positive.

I am curious what you guys think about my rankings, because I know I am going to piss off a lot of “The Shadow Rising” fans lol.

Finishing The Fires of Heaven 🔥

5 books down, a million more to go!

The Fires of Heaven is book 5 of The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. This is my favorite in the series so far, although I know I will get some push back from those who enjoyed The Shadow Rising more.

Reading Recap 2026: Week 34

Books read 📚:

The Fires of Heaven - Robert Jordan (COMPLETED)
This is easily my favorite book of the Wheel of Time so far. This book hardly had any moments where I was begging for the story to pick up in momentum. Rand is a madman and seeing him learn to use and control the power is so satisfying to see. This is the most I enjoyed Nynaeve in the story as well. Seeing her so vulnerable was a nice contrast to her normal hardheaded personality.

I am jumping straight into book 6, Lord of Chaos!

What did you read this week?
