While we try and teach our kids all about life, our kids teach us what life is all about. Every day I find more and more joy spending time with you. It’s hard to not look at some of these little moments from last year and wonder where all the time went already. Happy 3rd Birthday Luke! #Birthday #NotABigCakeGuy #CoolHandLuke by @jaretteverett

I think a lot of us with dogs - especially working dogs - have a special relationship with them, and a place in our heart that can’t be filled. This one was a little tough to write knowing one day, I’ll have to bury my own. This song is called Rawnose, about a dog who kept his nose glued to the ground and did it all. It’ll be on the album “Lost Tales of the West”…coming soon. #dogsofinstagram #cattledog #scenthound #songwriting #HoundDog by @jaretteverett

I’ve been working on an album project all about the backcountry and life out west. That wouldn’t be complete without a song about hunting cats. More to come soon….stay tuned. #Backcountry #Hunting #Cowboys #Songwriting #Western by @jaretteverett

Anybody that has been hunting Teal in Texas knows how good of a time it is. I wrote this song last week summing up the last 10 years I’ve been hunting down on the rice prairie. It’s no doubt a good time with buddies, there’s still some time to get some good hunts in. I’ve been fortunate enough to make some good friends over the years sharing the same passions. If you’re looking for a few good outfits, shoot me a DM and I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction! #TealSeason #BlueWingTeal #Waterfowl #WaterfowlHunting by @jaretteverett

Brisket season is so back. From tailgating to hunt camp, people all across the US are spending time around the pit telling over exaggerated stories of the good ole days. It’s more than just good BBQ, that’s just the byproduct. It’s about the experience with friends and family. God bless the fall! #SmokeALittleSmoke #Tailgate #BBQ #Brisket #HuntCamp taken in College Station, Texas by @jaretteverett
