Bold move to put up some D’Angelo, but it’s all I’ve been listening to 😢 Found this drum-less track of “Chicken Grease” so wanted to see how close I could get to recreating the sounds and channel the 🐐 @questlove. Thx to @kermitthefrog for stopping by and providing some claps. #drums #fyp #recording #studio by @jarr3d.katz

Showcasing two vintage microphones I recently picked up from the man @curtis_kelley__ 🥁Love how these two new flavors complement the overall mix. Featured here is the Altec 660a Salt Shaker mic in kind of a behind my shoulder placement + the Electrovoice 654a as a Mono OH. We’ve got that Sonor shell w/ Ludwig and Trixon parts Piccolo snare, the Rogers Holiday kit, plus @istanbulagop cymbals. Loving these tones! #vintagedrums #microphone #vintagemicrophone #drums #studio taken in Tacoma, Washington by @jarr3d.katz

Anyone know this tune?? Chopped up some cinematic samples to go with these drum sounds I was digging. #producer #vintagedrums #recording #samples #drummer taken in Tacoma, Washington by @jarr3d.katz

Took a trip to 1976. Didn’t quite nail it here (these drums are pretty unique on the record!), but had fun and learning more 😜 #drums #70s #fleetwoodmac #recording #vintagedrums taken in Tacoma, Washington by @jarr3d.katz

Some Phil Collins 80s drum vibes. Shoutout to @drichardbailey for the tutorial and @ko_percussion for the idea to throw some @evansdrumheads hydraulics on a set of timbales to get some thunderous concert toms. taken in Tacoma, Washington by @jarr3d.katz
