Okay, so I’m finally not too busy to do this properly: 18 days ago, I took a major step and got engaged to the most beautiful woman in the world that I also get to call my best friend. Through the nearly 5 years of our relationship we’ve been through so many things, ups and downs, highs and lows and I couldn’t ask for a better partner and ride or die on this roller coaster called life. I can’t wait to make you my wife and give you all the love, kisses, hugs, comfort, slight annoyance, and cuddles plus much more for the rest of our lives 🫶🏾

It’s #sonnetsunday once again, plz enjoy:
the ant and The Queen
•
There once was an ant, mighty and strong
He wandered the roads of misery all night long
One day he reached a colony, filled with ants
And then he began to gleefully dance
The ants showed him around and introduced him to The Queen
The Queen was the most gorgeous ant he had ever seen
Once they started talking, the ant knew he was in love
The woman he prayed for was sent from above
They talked and talked, their bond growing strong
They got to the point where they wrote each other love songs
The Queen loved the ant, and he felt twice that
The ant had never felt love quite like that
One day, the ant did something to anger The Queen, his fatal flaw
The Queen banished him; teardrops were the last thing that he saw
It was not The Queen’s fault, it was truly the ant’s mistake
The ant wanted The Queen to forgive him, he’d do anything it would take
The Queen had been scorned in the past by another, while the ant was new to it all
The ant just wants to help The Queen get over the wall
On the other side of the wall, the ant imagined a life with The Queen, a happy one
Cause The Queen was his beautiful bright beacon of sun
The ant and The Queen were changed after this
To take The Queens pain away is the ant’s only wish
To this day, the ant still has love for The Queen
He hopes that once again, The Queen’s feelings for him will be seen

Another edition of #sonnetsunday coming at you from the heart. I challenge you to speak up when you see injustice! ✊🏾 please enjoy:
Hold your tongue
•
I sit here and think about those 8 minutes and 46 seconds
They killed a man who wasn’t resisting and had no weapons
He told them he couldn’t breathe, he didn’t hold his tongue
Instead of listening, the cops clutched their guns
Why were four officers putting their body weight on one man?
They all were unjust before this even began!
So how can you be silent? George wasn’t up until his final breath
Don’t speak up and you’re allowing death
So go on and chant in the streets
Because if there is no justice, there is no peace!
