Juma’s husband leads high risk federal operations for Brazil’s environmental protection agency to dismantle illegal gold mining.

Every night we went hiking in the Amazon rainforest and found some of the coolest frogs I’ve ever seen.
There are around 300-400+ species of frogs and toads in the Peruvian Amazon.

Not the best video, but had to share our Jaguar sighting. This was on our first day of our expedition in the Amazon Rainforest and it really set the tone for the rest of the week. I feel extremely lucky to have witnessed this as these sightings are extremely rare.

One of the most rewarding experiences of my life was exploring the Amazon Rainforest. This trip put so many things into perspective for me. I met some amazing people and witnessed animals that I’ve only ever seen on TV before. This place is worth saving. Already planning my trip back!

This was the first Toucan I’ve seen in real life. We were lucky to be up in the Amazon canopy where most of life in the Amazon resides. Such an amazing experience.
