POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

And that’s a wrap!

RESILIENCE was more than a gathering. It was an opportunity to step away from the noise, open God’s Word, lift our voices in worship, and unite in prayer.

We’re grateful for every pastor, leader, speaker, and guest who joined us these past three days. Our prayer is that what God began stirring in our hearts continues long after the conference ends.

May we be a people who pray fervently, stand firmly on His Word, and keep seeking Him. taken in Champion Forest - Champions Campus by @jarrettstephens

The Grand Reopening of our Worship Center is officially set for SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1! 🙌

We can’t wait to worship together in this beautiful, renewed space! But even more exciting than what’s new in the room is what we believe God is going to do in it.

Lives changed. Families restored. People coming to know Jesus. We’re praying this room will be filled with stories of God’s faithfulness for generations to come!

And what better way to celebrate this new chapter than with NEW LIFE in Christ?!

On November 1, we’re planning a special Baptism Celebration, and we’re praying for many people to take this next step of faith!

Have you made the decision to follow Jesus but haven’t been baptized? We would love to talk with you!

Had a great time hosting a special CF Connect “Let’s Talk Preaching” one day workshop today. Got to hear from some of the best practitioners I know. Special thanks to Steven Smith, Todd Kaunitz, Daniel Henderson, Chris Kouba, Marcus Hayes, and John Durham for investing in us…we are better preachers because of it! by @jarrettstephens

It was great having Pastor H.B. Charles Jr preach this morning at Champion Forest. He is for sure one of the top expositors of our day. Anything he writes or preaches, I’m taking in! His message from Matt. 6:33 was so good…make sure to go online and give it a listen. He’s also preaching this Tuesday afternoon at the Resilience Conference we’re hosting. Going to be a great week. by @jarrettstephens

Ordained another group of pastors last evening from our Spanish Church Planting Residency. I think this makes 60+ over the last five years! My goodness, I’m grateful for the leadership and vision of Pastors Ramon Medina and Esteban Vazquez. These newly ordained men will be serving churches all throughout Texas and as far away as Connecticut. Absolutely amazing.

Was privileged to speak to them from Acts 6:4. Challenged them always keep as the priority, prayer and the ministry of the word. Praying the Lord uses these men to advance the Kingdom for the entirety of their ministry. Thank you @championforest for encouraging and supporting this incredible work. by @jarrettstephens

Love our monthly staff chapel times! We worship together, pray together, celebrate wins…try to build culture! It’s always a good time to just be together! Crowned a new “Champion of Champions” - congrats to Jamie Llefi - WELL DESERVED!

We also were invested in and received so much wisdom from the great, Tom Mosely. Tom served in ministry for 60+ years and is still going strong. He spoke to us about guarding our time with the Lord, loving our spouses and finishing well in life and ministry. Tom served as a pastor, worship pastor and helped start Passion Ministries. I was able to do a podcast with him after chapel that will drop soon. Incredible conversation…be on the lookout for it! by @jarrettstephens

“My house will be called a house of prayer.” Matthew 21:13

Our heart’s desire is to be a church family that makes prayer a priority. Last night, we gathered for “Last Wednesday” to seek the Lord together. Grateful for these moments and for everyone who joined us.

Let’s keep praying, church family.

AND… Join us for First Saturday prayer this weekend!

We were able to say “thank you” today and provide lunch for all the crews that have been working so hard on the renovation of our worship center. Each company we’ve worked with from electric to carpets to paints to AV have really been excellent partners to us. We were able to thank them, share the gospel with them, and invite them and their families back to church. Special thanks to @myrickguroskyassociates for leading the way on this project! Here’s to hoping we hit that upcoming deadline!

And let me just say…this worship center is NEXT level! If you’ve been around CF you know what I did there. Can’t wait for our church family to worship in there together. It’s coming soon!!! by @jarrettstephens

We may not face the same persecution Daniel faced in Babylon, but we are still tempted by worldly desires, passions, and pursuits. Like Daniel, we can also stay true to our faith and pursue God through any opposition. 💪

The Book of Daniel was filmed in some striking, symbolic locations that bring the story to life. Here, series producer Jason shares some insight into a couple of the shoot locations chosen for the series.

💬 “We filmed Session 5 at one of our favorite locations in the Las Vegas area—The Neon Museum. The vintage signs at the Neon Museum in Las Vegas are a fun connection to Daniel 5, where God writes a mysterious message on the wall during Belshazzar’s feast.

“These old signs are reminders that even the most impressive worldly kingdoms will pass away, and the writing on the wall was God’s message of judgment that Belshazzar’s kingdom had been weighed, found wanting, and was about to come to an end.”

💬 “We filmed Session 7 in The Valley of Fire State Park. The rugged, almost otherworldly landscape feels like the apocalyptic vision of Daniel 7, where Daniel sees terrifying beasts rising from a chaotic sea and ultimately witnesses the Ancient of Days and the Son of Man receiving an everlasting kingdom.

The scenery captures some of that mysterious, apocalyptic feel as Daniel looks beyond the kingdoms of this world to the Ancient of Days and the Son of Man, whose kingdom will never end.”

This right here FIRES me up!!! I write most all my sermons at The Red Dog on the campus of the Lanier Theological Library. Walked downstairs this morning to see some of our guy residents meeting together talking life and ministry…this is EXACTLY what the vision of the residency program was all about. We wanted to recruit young men and women called to ministry to come to H-town and serve a great local church and to continue in their theological education all the while living in community together. We are asking the Lord to help us train up THOUSANDS that will help advance the Kingdom for God’s glory…from Northwest Houston to the world!

The second pic is the latest addition to The Red Dog. What do you do when a tree is dying? You make a Red Dog out of it…only Mark Lanier! by @jarrettstephens
