Went out for my first run since coming home with a fresh baby. It’s been a chaotic three weeks featuring the perfect storm of newborn and toddler who happened to also have a three week break between camp and school starting on the day we left the hospital. • 4 miles in the new @newbalancerunning SC Elite v6 wide, which fit way better than the wide rebels. The run went as well as 50 cents first mlb pitch or that kid in Boston who somehow nailed a photographer in the nuts… The sun was on fire at 11:30am. I hadn’t eaten much. What is sleep again? Yet as awful as the run went, it’s exactly what I needed. Getting back on the wagon is gonna suck, but I’ve missed this a lot. • Review coming eventually to the wide foot roundup on @believeintherun, but yall gotta give me a little bit of time… 💀 by @jarrettweisberg

You have no idea how much it pains me to say this, but either I got a faulty pair, or New Balance botched the wide version of the new SC Rebel. This is so narrow in both the midfoot and forefoot. 5.5 miles this morning just wasn’t enjoyable. • Id usually say review coming soon to @believeintherun, but I doubt I lace these up much more. 😭 • ps- I’m legitimately gonna crash out if the 2E sc elite v6 are just as tight. by @jarrettweisberg

A package arrived for Brett Weisberg with a pair of the new @adidasrunning hyperboost edge inside. Wasn’t expecting it, and they don’t come in wide, but sure I’ll try em. • I get it. The hyperboost pro midsole is real nice and feels great underfoot. However, I have a wide foot. This ain’t a wide shoe. A mile in to a short 4 mile run and I knew it felt tight. By the end, I wanted them off. The standard width foot folks are the real winners here. If your foot isn’t a potato, give it a try! • PS- If there is a Brett Weisberg in the neighborhood and you did order these, sorry. I opened your package and wore your shoes… 😬 by @jarrettweisberg

A few weeks ago I received the @saucony Paramount Max to review for the wide foot fam. It’s a standard width shoe that fits on the wider side. I’ll leave my thoughts here because I probably wouldn’t put it on the best list I have over on @believeintherun. • As for the width, it’s definitely on the wider side of a standard width shoe, but it was more snug than I’d like. I kind of felt like my foot was a little pinched (which is a me problem). • The incredirun midsole is super cushioned and actually really nice. I’m kinda surprised the size 10.5 only weighs 10.5 oz. It looks way bulkier than it feels. • Besides the fit (which again is a me problem), my biggest gripe is the heel. Upon receiving the shoe, I immediately thought about the New Balance 1080v11 and the ultra heel. I hated it. When v12 brought a more traditional cushioned heel collar I did a little dance (probably). Well, I still don’t like it even in a different brand. I had heel slipping that was a pain to lock down on because the midsole is so cushioned and my foot wanted to both compress down and slide up when running. • So yeah, I wouldn’t recommend the Paramount Max to the wide foot fam. Standard width runners may like it a lot more. Sorry fellow big 👣. by @jarrettweisberg

Was a bit surprised to get the @nikerunning vomero premium in last week, but I’ve been getting the miles in and have reached my verdict. While the cushioning is insane, I don’t think I’d recommend it for the #widefootfam. Not because it’s a bad shoe. It seems great. I just found it to be more snug than I’d like and I didn’t feel comfortable doing longer runs. It ain’t worth the squeeze when you can get the vomero plus which comes in wide and is an awesome shoe. by @jarrettweisberg

The @newbalancerunning Ellipse is growing on me. It’s comfy and looks great. Reminds me of a slimmed down 880, which I was a big fan of. Plus, the wide colors are clean. The purple one would be great for ravens purple fridays. 😈 • Review coming to @believeintherun this week. by @jarrettweisberg
