8.8.2024 not only stamped our beginning, it affirmed more than we imagined. I’m still processing the magnitude of what happened. Many watched and some were present, but it’s what happened internally. The affirmation and confirmation that who you’re destined to be is waiting for you to believe and work out the blueprint!

“You are destined by design and there is a blueprint for life filled with everything you need. Your purpose has been strategically engineered and it’s custom-made for you. No one has your blueprint. It is unique to you.” - @paseverett by @jaschenderson

Heyyy 🥰 I would normally post a prayer for our week, but I’ll share this instead.

What I am MOST grateful for today is LIBERTY. This weekend hit verrryy differently….in ways that have answered my prayers, gave me peace, and literally FREED me from some things. My prayer is that you will walk in FULL liberty — especially THIS WEEK!

Here’s a snippet of how my weekend started…LIBERTY🔥💨

Whether it’s loss, disappointment, unexpected change, setbacks, or starting over — we’ve all had those moments when life interrupts the plan. So, what does it actually look like to find your way forward?

That’s the conversation we’re having, and I’m bringing some amazing women to the table to help us unpack it.

Day 5 of #BlackWomenPray was led by Jasmine Henderson, who centered her message on Psalm 90:12: "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." She challenged every man to become a distinguished man of God by pursuing God's wisdom above all else. A distinguished man is set apart—not by status or success, but by a life that reflects the character, wisdom, and presence of God. She reminded us that our words, actions, and decisions should reveal that we belong to Him.

Jasmine emphasized that wisdom is not simply given, it must be taught, received, and applied. Moses prayed, "Teach us," recognizing that wisdom requires humility, patience, and a willingness to be corrected. In a culture that offers instant answers through technology and social media, she encouraged men to slow down, spend time in God's presence, and allow Him to shape their hearts. We each bear the responsibility of how we use our time, and true wisdom comes from walking closely with the Lord.

Drawing from the life of Solomon, who asked God for wisdom above riches or power, Jasmine reminded us that when we seek God's wisdom first, He faithfully provides everything we need. She also warned against starting our journey with God only to drift away, encouraging men to remain rooted in their relationship with Christ and to continue seeking Him daily. God's invitation remains the same: "Ask... seek... knock," and He promises to respond to those who earnestly pursue Him.

She concluded with a powerful prayer, declaring that every man's steps are ordered by God, his Helper is near, and he is fully covered by God's protection. We prayed that the whole man would rise up and say "yes" to God's calling, allowing His wisdom to guide every area of life. The final encouragement was clear: Let our words and our actions declare that we are distinguished men of God, marked by His wisdom and led by His Spirit.

Okay, so this post is extremely late 😅

Back in May, we hosted the Restore Her Brunch, and honestly, I’ll try my best to find the words to capture what happened in that room.

What makes it even more special is that what I thought we were going to discuss never really became the conversation. (I had notessss, God had other plans!)

At one point, one of the ladies shared that she was trying so hard not to “fall apart.” That one honest confession opened the door to a conversation none of us expected—a conversation about the grace in falling apart.

Because the truth is, sometimes falling apart isn’t failure. Sometimes it’s the beginning of healing. Sometimes it’s what happens when you’ve carried too much for too long. Sometimes it’s God’s way of making room for restoration.

We talked about the beauty of being honest, the freedom that comes with laying down the pressure to have it all together, and the reality that God can meet us in the broken places just as much as He meets us in the strong ones.

There was laughter. There were tears. There were moments of vulnerability and moments of encouragement. There was sisterhood. There was healing. There was grace. The LOVE of God was truly there🙏🏾🙌🏾

And while the brunch was called Restore Her, I think every woman in that room left understanding that restoration doesn’t always begin when everything is put back together. Sometimes restoration begins the moment you finally allow yourself to fall apart.

To every woman who showed up, shared, listened, prayed, encouraged, and trusted the space with your story—thank you 💯🫶🏾! What happened that day was beautiful, and I’m still grateful for it.

My heart is STILL full 🫶🏾

Another year of becoming ✨

I don’t take this year for granted. God has kept me, stretched me, and loved me through it all. Heavvvvy on the loved me through it all!

God gave me the number 37 over 10 years ago and I never imagined how significant it would be. Leading up to this birthday, I’ve experienced God answer prayers that I forgot I prayed, and filled my heart with answered prayers that I prayed as a little girl!

I’m growing deeper. More aligned. More aware. Moving with clarity, peace, and intention.

Cheers to the lessons, the love, the boundaries, the breakthroughs, and the becoming 🫶🏾✨ by @jaschenderson
