🚨 THE FED RAISED RATES YESTERDAY…SO WHY DID MORTGAGE RATES GO DOWN TODAY?🏡📉

Because the Fed doesn’t directly set MORTGAGE rates!

The Fed controls SHORT-TERM rates, while mortgage rates are influenced by things like inflation (currently rising Oil prices), bond markets, and investor expectations.

Bottom line: A Fed rate hike does NOT automatically mean higher mortgage rates!

Today’s reminder: The headlines don’t always tell the whole mortgage story. 👀
