When you run away from your purpose and try to do things your way God has a way of humbling you and calling you out to come back home to him and this time you can’t run from him.

I’ve been trying to rely on doing things my way the last few months/years and treating God like he had a part time position in my life. Life taught me to never treat God like a second option. I was running away from him and leaning on things that ended up exposing me behind closed doors. God sat me down and said “Jasiah this is what happens when you play with your purpose!”

I’ve been thinking about getting baptized again for the last 1-2 years but like I said above I was running away from him. I was baptized at age 12-13 but that was my parents decision to do it on my birthday with my sister. This week while at work I decided to finally listen to him and here I am today killing the old me and becoming a new man.

So if you see me moving and acting different here’s your reason why. I will never play with the purpose that God has for me and I will officially walk in that purpose from this day forward!!

Never Lose The Kid In You!!!

When people asked me what I wanted to be when I was little I wish I would’ve answered “I want to be ME”. I wish would’ve answered that question like that because growing up I’ve seen people lose themselves and give up on themselves trying to become someone they aren’t.

That little kid in you may have not grown up in the right environments or might’ve been raised by a single mom,dad or grandparents, but that little kid in you was creative, had a ton of personality, was funny, had no worries in the world and made friends with anyone not just based on the color of their skin. That little kid in you had a lot of emotions, but throughout the years some of us have grown up to become emotionless due to the things that have transpired throughout our lives so far.

People began to change their identities to fit in with what the rest of the world is doing so we can seem “cool”. Many of us have started to disobey our parents and became disrespectful as we got older because we wanted to see how living alone can be. Going against the grain has led some of us and those we love to death earlier than what we expected, jail time, job less, homeless and in deep depression.

Well listen up being you is fine and whatever you do make sure you don’t lose the kid in you because right now that kid in you needs more than anything!!!

Today I had the opportunity to speak some students at MacArthur Middle School about Life After The Ball Deflates @aftertheballdeflates . It’s important to support the youths dreams of playing sports but 2% of athletes play professionally after college,so that other 98% needs to make sure they’re well equipped to have a career in the game of life.
