Happy Hello! I did this oil pastel drawing this morning over a nice, ICED 🧊 oat latte. ;)

Hope you like the polar bear. I am quite pleased with how he turned out. I really want to do a larger oil pastel piece, though working in the sketchbook is a nice challenge! ⍝ʕ’•ᴥ•`ʔ⍝

Happy Hello! 🫐📚🌱

It is day one of PEACHTOBER. This feels like QUITE the mountain to climb. This is my first ever online challenge, so I am not going to be too hard on myself if I don’t make the full 31 drawings. But I am excited!

My dream is to be a children’s illustrator- and I want to make that a reality… So over PEACHTOBER I’m going to centre it around one little adventurous mouse called April…

April is brave. April is strong. And most of all, she is a wonderful little mouse.

I hope you enjoy her (and her friends) adventures this month!

See you tomorrow. Thank you!

Happy Hello! 👋 🌱💖☔️

Come paint with me! Last weekend I took a trip down to Shere with my university’s friends for a gentle Saturday stroll. I will say I did not realise quite how famous Shere is in terms of its film repertoire until we got there. We visited their local museums and galleries and it has definitely seen it’s fair share of Hollywood… felt a bit bad that the residents practically existed in a permanent artificial winter during the filming of the holiday way back when….

Anyhow - I hope you enjoy the painting process plus my voice over. I need to do a voiceover soon explaining the process and why I’m making certain marks. But all that is to come!

I’m also gearing up to my first ever art challenge - Peachtober! 🍑 I’m very excited for that!

She’s a material lover.

Happy helloooooo. When I was drawing this, I didn’t expect to end up taking out the whole page, but I just think this little bunny is so cute.

I hope you like it. <3

Stop your scroll. Slow down with me for awhile.

While while I painted this piece I was listening to Billie Martin’s album ‘DROP CHERRIES’. The CD was a birthday gift from my sister. I’ve been loving putting it on in the afternoons and evenings.

This painting is by no means my favourite landscape piece I’ve ever done… BUT it feels like the right way to start off this sketchbook. This is a picture that I took while I was on a really peaceful 3 mile walk with my friends from university and I couldn’t have been happier to spend my Saturday with people that I cared for more.
(Ps. The walks in Shere are lovely! Expect more paintings…)

Slow down with me…

happy hellooooo - I am coming back from a rather bad illness. Maybe it’s the turn of the season?

This is a sketch from a little while ago. I have a colour palette book and I decided to randomly choose a colour pallet, and create a piece based off those limited colours. Using my mungo gallery oil pastels, I decided to draw this little deer. I remember being really surprised at how it turned out - I didn’t initially expect these cool purples make this rather warm reverence picture any justice. But actually, in the end, the cool colours gave a really nice effect.
