We are excited to finally announce that Acodyne has raised €2.5 million in pre-seed funding to build the next generation of autonomous cargo aircraft.

The round is backed by the Swedish defence fund Gungnir Capital, PSV Hafnium, EIFO, SAP9 Group and visionary investors who share our belief that logistics is about to undergo a major transformation.

At Acodyne, we are developing the world’s fastest unmanned eVTOL cargo aircraft for heavy payloads. Our aircraft models are designed to carry 100-500 kg at speeds of 450 km/h while taking off and landing vertically.

This funding will give us the opportunity to develop our E100 prototype, support full-scale prototype testing, and expand our team of aerospace engineers, designers, and business builders. Today, we are just 10 dedicated people working from Avedøre Airfield (have a look at our careers page if you want to join the mission).

The momentum around autonomous aviation has never been stronger. We are seeing growing interest from defence organizations, offshore operators, and logistics partners who recognize that the future of transportation is uncrewed, autonomous, and happening above us.

@acodyne was invited to present our unmanned aircraft solution at European Defence Agency in Brussels this week.

Being on the programme alongside established European defence leaders such as Airbus and Leonardo makes us proud and it clearly demonstrates that fast-moving next-generation technologies now have a place in Europe’s defence system.

It is great to see that Europe is accelerating defence readiness.

At Acodyne, we are building high-speed long range UAS designed to support logistics for European troops. Presenting at this forum made it clear:

- European-built solutions matter.
- Cross-border collaboration between member states and industry is essential.
- Innovation must turn into deployable capability - and this can’t be fast enough.

It’s time to share some news I’ve been eager to talk about.

I recently joined Acodyne as CCO/Co-founder - a company now beginning to step out of stealth mode with a bold vision for the cargo drone industry.

We are developing heavy-load cargo drones for hard-to-reach areas in civil industry and defence.

So this is not your average drone. In the photo you can see me standing next to one of our in-house built motors - one drone has six of these.

Working with such a talented team of aerospace, engineering, and piloting experts is truly inspiring - and I’m honoured to apply my experience to building Acodyne’s commercial partnerships.

Acodyne is redefining the middle-mile cargo drone market with features such as 200kg (440 lbs) payload, VTOL, 450 km/h (280 mph) cruise speed, battery powered, modular storage and transport, etc.
