This picture was took during the 2019 MVision workshop organized by Camtec and Leica boutique Montreal with masters @dominicnahr and Roger Lemoyne @lemoynephoto. ⁠
It will be part of an exhibition I'm preparing to show inmy neighborhood's coffee shops for when we'll get out of confinement.⁠

Frames from « Quand le temps pense » (When time is thinking) ready for grading!
Directed by : @renaudlefebvre_
Featuring Anick Lefebvre : @zebean_
Shot on Black magic’s @ursamini with @rokinon cine DS prime lenses, @mygobe variable ND filter and @haidafilter 77 IR cut for those extra-fine skintones.
BM color-science hit that perfect sweet spot between pure LOG and full in camera colors, greatly reducing the grading workload on a small project like this with no dedicated colorist, while allowing greater flexibility in post than standard image profiles.
I still can hardly believe it looks this good how out camera for dramatic tones :O
P.S. : Thanks to @kylebenjaminturner for the motivation!! I’d love to shoot BTS for ya anytime bro!

So I had an idea 💡
People always either shoot still-life pictures like this, or close-up with models.
But why not both? Why not mathing one location with many photographers and or subjects?!
I’d love to collab and have a literal « shoutout » of a specific place in Montreal with different perspectives offered by different photographers and models.
I don’t really know how’s that possible and there’s one major drawback - it’s cold outside now.
But we could do a little winter ❄️ fashion shoot I guess :)

Montreal moment #1 : Sax-men ⁠⠀

Today I'm starting a new series, where I'm gonna share with y'all my little adventures as an humble photographer in one of the coolest city in the world. ⁠⠀
Inspired by @vuhlandes, I decided to document life in my neighborhood, Rosemont Petite-Patrie. ⁠⠀
Richard (left in the second pic) is a great jazz saxophonist and friend of mine. We used to play together on occasion before COVID hit us all. ⁠⠀
Since then, he organized jazz concerts every saturday until last week in Molson Park, a major gathering place for everyone in the neighborhood. ⁠⠀
Las week, as I went by, Richard said : "Hey! Let's re-create the Beatles pic where they walk in the street." Just like that. I was like, "right now?!"... "right now". Just like that! ⁠⠀
I live for magical moments like this. No time to ask yourself if it was alright : just snap it away two or three times before the truck driver gets impatient...!⁠⠀
I'd love to make a living doing just this, publishing books and making documentaries about life in Montreal. Wish this will be available as a print soon! ⁠⠀

Aujourd'hui je part une nouvelle série, ou chaque semaine je partagerai mes petites aventures d'humble photographe dans une des villes les plus sympa du monde. ⁠⠀
Inspiré par Vuhlandes, j'ai décidé de documenter ma vie dans le quartier Rosemont Petite-Patrie à Montréal. ⁠⠀
Richard (à gauche sur la deuxième photo) est un super saxophoniste et ami. On jouait ensemble de temps à temps avant la pandémie.⁠⠀
Depuis, il a organisé des concerts de jazz tous les samedis jusqu'à la semaine dernière, au Parc Molson, un point de rendez-vous important pour les gens du quartier.⁠⠀
La semaine dernière, alors que je passais par là, Richard m'a dit : "Hey, recréons la photographie des Beatles dans la rue!" Alors je l'ai fait, juste avant que le chauffeur du camion en arrière-plan ne s'impatiente.⁠⠀
J'adorerais gagner ma vie de cette façon, en publiant des livres et des documentaires sur la vie à Montréal... cette photo devrait être disponible pour imprimer bientôt! by @jasminbataille
