Boy ohh boy am I all types of emotions!
Despite the emotions I’m feeling right now I am so proud of myself for pushing through and sticking to the plan I had set for myself. It takes strength to look at yourself in a dark time and tell yourself get up and get your shit together this not the end for you! It took me exactly 1year to accomplish my fitness goals & I’m not even done yet! What would I say to my younger self? Girl you’re much stronger than you think you are never doubt any capabilities you have! Cheers to me, cheers to my confidence, cheers to continuing my goals 🥂

I think every woman hits that season where she’s not overly sensitive to things anymore, just aware. You see people clearly. You stop explaining, forcing & reacting to everything.. You just let people do what they choose to do & then you move accordingly.

What motherhood has taught me

Motherhood has a funny way of revealing who truly shows up when life gets hard.

not everyone you show up for will show up for you.

being loved and being supported are two different things.

pay attention to who celebrates the woman I’m becoming, not just who I used to be.

being a mother means being exhausted, yet finding the energy to show up every single day. it means filling everyone else’s cup before filling your own. it means watching your world grow bigger and smaller, all at once. but best of all,

the feeling of not even recognizing myself with this new identity of being a mom, the new weight I put on, going through postpartum, a break up with someone I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. My Journey is Looooooong but we made it through this far and I’m here to tell you it’s temporary…. it does get better ❤️‍🩹

My Final Thought
The speed they moved on, the way they treated you after... it says everything about them, not you.

I might not get the long paragraphs, breakfast in bed, or the flowers but the love I have for my son? Nothing in this world could ever compete. i’m a boy mom forever 💙 my little bestie in sneakers !

Most of all

I basically co-parent with my village of support
When I’m sick and need help with my son, I call my village. If l’ve got something going on or need a hand on the weekend, I call my village. If I’m missing something or feeling overwhelmed, my village is right there filling in the gaps. And when it comes to big decisions about my son, my village is the first I talk to.
I thank God for the woman he placed in my life every single day. Because truthfully & honestly, I’d be struggling a lot more out here if I didn’t have their support. I owe them the world forever ♥️
