SEA Boulder League 2026

I gave it everything I had. I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into training. I prepared myself to the best i could. But in the end, my best just wasn’t enough.

Before the competition, I imagined tears of happiness, of joy, of pride. I pictured all my hard work paying off, myself standing at the top of the podium. I could see it so clearly: smiling as the crowd applauded, hearing my name, receiving my medal. It didn’t feel impossible. If others could, then why not me?

In those moments on the wall, I fought with everything in me. I pushed past my limits. I left nothing behind. But fairytale endings belong in books. Reality is messier. There are no perfect endings.

The regret and hesitation on the second route still lingers. I shedded tears over it. Even though topping it felt huge at the time, it seemed insignificant compared to the wasted energy and failed attempts that led up to it. I keep thinking: what if I hadn’t made those mistakes? What if I had committed to the beta from the start and trusted my instincts? Would it have all ended differently?

But it was the final route that broke me. I cried over that one for a long time. Victory, the gold medal, was right there, just out of reach, my fingertips brushing past it, tantalisingly close enough to taste. But I hesitated. I was too afraid to fully reach for it.

Why was I so scared of losing when I hadn’t even won?

I now know that it wasn’t meant to be. This wasn’t my comp. And I've accepted that this is nature of climbing. It's never a smooth journey, always full of highs and lows. But I still couldn’t ignore the sting of watching others step onto the podium, hearing the cheers meant for them. I’m happy for them, I realy am. But at the same time, I crave what they have, desperately. I wanted it, needed it. And it truly nearly was.

To friends and family who supported me and had high hopes for me, I'm truly sorry I couldn't deliver. I'm sorry I couldn't win for Malaysia and make everyone proud.

I'm still not over my loss. But this isn't the end. Give me time. I will be back. And I will win.

Thank you everyone.

Seasac 🥈

Fought hard and gave it everything on the wall. Wasted a few attempts, but overall quite happy with my performance these past two days, considering that I was injured for a week before the comp, and only had one good week to prep. Was also very sick during and after the comp 🫠🫠

Boulder U19🥇

This comp asked a lot from me, and I think I delivered. Managed to find a good mental state, making adjustments in my overall mindset, and they all worked wonders. The confidence boost from this comp was huge too by @jasmineclimb

ASEAN Climbing Championships

Really excited that I got this oppurtunity to gain experience and compete with such strong climbers. When I first came into the comp, I was nervous that I couldn't meet the expectations everyone had put on me, but I just decided to just try to let go of all of them

Thank you to @malaysia_climbing_official and @kbsmalaysia and the participating countries and athletes, as well as the the routesetters and volunteers

Thank you to all my supporters there's too many to list, but you know who you are. And thank you especially to @celiaclimbs for answering my calls and listening to me yap about how scared I was and having confidence in me

CRANK 2025 - Intermediate Women - 3rd place
Score: 99.7 (24.8, 24.9, 25, 25)

Quite happy with my results. Fell sick on Thursday and somehow managed to recover on Friday 😔😔. Even though I know that I could've done better, I'm still satisfied.

Thank you to @safwan2tree and @ainaazrinzulkifli for coaching and helping me through training and the comp, I really appreciate it. Thank you to all my supporters, friends, and family too.
Thank you to @camp5ecocity for organising this comp and thank you to all the routesetters, judges, staff, and photographers by @jasmineclimb
