A circle of women may just be the most powerful force known to humanity—
If you have one, embrace it. If you need one, seek it.
If you find one, for the love of all that is good and holy, dive in.
Hold on.
Love it up. Get Naked.
Let them see you. Let them hold you.
Let your reluctant tears fall. Let yourself rise fierce and love gentle. You will be changed.
The very fabric of your being will be altered by this, if you allow it. Please, please allow it.

This was a particularly vulnerable piece for me to create—so special that I knew it would be difficult to let go of.
Which actually feels fitting because the practice of not being attached is exactly what this piece was commissioned to hold.

Completed in alignment with the shift into autumn, this piece was created to invoke the tender ache of change—the grief of releasing old attachments to old versions of ourselves, to one another and to the lives we once thought would remain unchanged.

It is painful to recognize that some things cannot be held in place, no matter how much we wish they could. Change is inherent to life. Seasons change—We change—and sometimes the hardest part is allowing something to have been meaningful without continuing to reach backward for it.

Perhaps what we grieve and simultaneously celebrate most in change is knowing that life keeps moving, even when a part of you wishes it would stay.
You can still miss what was. You can still love something that no longer exists in the same form.

Sometimes two people simply keep becoming, just on their own unique paths. And sometimes we do the same within ourselves.
Maybe acceptance isn’t letting go so completely that the past no longer matters.
Maybe it is learning to hold it differently—to let something have been beautiful without needing it to remain.
Because becoming someone new does not mean abandoning who we were.
Perhaps nothing was ever truly lost.
It simply became part of the landscape from which we continue to grow 𓇢𓆸

Finally releasing the Zanzibar archives—one whole year later.

We left this island with some mixed feelings. It tested us in a lot of ways and I think I needed some time before I could really appreciate the experience as a whole.
Looking back now, these memories feel like such obvious evidence of how much wonder we met.
Some of my favorite honeymoon memories happened here—
But travel isn’t always comfortable, and I think that’s part of the point.

It should unsettle your idea of what’s normal.
You arrive with your own expectations of comfort, convenience, beauty —and then a place meets you on its own terms. Different rhythms, different resources, different ways of living. Sometimes it’s beautiful, sometimes it’s confronting and sometimes it’s both.
I think there’s something important in allowing ourselves to be changed by that. Remember that the world isn’t here to exist exactly as we’re accustomed to it.
And honestly, a year later, I find myself holding these experiences even more dearly. The beautiful, the difficult— all of it. taken in Zanzibar, Tanzania by @jasmineinbloom__

From exactly one year ago—when we were newly married and wandering through some of the most beautiful corners of the world.
Through the savannahs of Kenya, across the ocean to Zanzibar, and finally to the Seychelles.

Naturally, our honeymoon ended where an earlier chapter of our story began—
The Seychelles was the first adventure we ever took together as a couple, and it has stayed our favorite corner of the world ever since.
Now, we were back for our first adventure as newlyweds.
After so much movement throughout east Africa, we ended exactly where it felt right to end—somewhere that already knew an earlier version of us.
Returning to the place where we first explored the world together, this time carrying a whole new season of our lives with us.

I can’t believe I’ve been sitting on these photos for a year.. and yet the memories still feel so close. I think they’ve been marinating long enough šŸ˜… taken in Seychelles, La Digue by @jasmineinbloom__

I’m sitting here trying to comprehend the strange anomaly of time—that somehow this day feels like yesterday, yet we’ve lived an entire year of growth, change, and new beginnings since then.

In the space of a single year, so much has changed. The place we call home. The dreams we’re chasing. The people we’re becoming. Some doors have opened, some have closed. Life has continued moving, as it always does.

And maybe the most affirming thought is that through all the changing landscapes of life, through every season and every version of ourselves, my love for you remains the one constant I can always return to. The same love that brought us to that meadow is the same love that continues to carry us forward.

A year ago we chose a name that translates to ā€œof the meadow.ā€ Not only because it was where we exchanged our vows, but because a meadow felt like the perfect reflection of the life we wanted to build together.
Meadows are ever-shifting. They move through seasons of growth, abundance, rest, and renewal. They change constantly, yet they never lose what makes them a meadow.
That is the wisdom we hoped to carry within our name—that we will continue to evolve, expand, and transform throughout this life, while always returning to the same foundation that is our love.

Happy 1 year anniversary to us Fernie—
Thank you for choosing this wild life with me

Thank the wilderness for returning me back to sender šŸ’Œ

For being the salve a sore soul needs.

For pulling me out of my head and back into my body.

For leading me back into connection when I felt furthest from it.

For reminding me that nothing exists in isolation.

Just to keep it etheREAL with you—this past month asked me to meet parts of myself that felt deep ache, recognizing how grief has carved the grandest of canyons through me. I’ve spent a lot of time wrestling ghosts that convince me I carry life all on my own—

But I couldn’t possibly believe that standing beside a river that has never kept its gifts to itself. Pollinators feed the flowers as much as the flowers feed the pollinators. Trees breathe out the oxygen we breathe in, and we return the carbon they need in return. Fungi turn decay into fertile ground. Even wolves, without ever planting a seed, help forests regenerate. There is living evidence everywhere I look, I never carry life alone— I am being carried by it too.

Back to connection āž³ Back to truth āž³ Back to body āž³ Back to self

When in doubt—definitely let the land remind you taken in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks by @jasmineinbloom__

Today arrived with an invitation— a friendly knock at the door.
A bicycle abandoned in the grass.
standing on the porch asking,
ā€œIs Jasmine home? Can she come out and play?ā€
Life itself at my doorstep asking the same question.

Calling in more joy, more creativity, more pleasure, more expression—
The need to justify joy is a strange inheritance.
As if delight must prove its worth.
As if play requires permission.
As if pleasure must be earned.
Some things exist simply to delight—
A flower blooms, a song is sung.
Hands make because they can.
Is it possible that perhaps being lit up is reason enough?
