I’ve been trying to find the right words to say but I can’t..
I gotta say goodbye to my Bestfriend for the very last time & idk if I can do it.
To the man that decided to become a man and a father to two young girls that were not his problem just to make sure they had a better future & a father to look up to.
To the man that made sure we always did well in school so that we can make it in this world.
To the man that always made sure we played ball so we could stay out of trouble and get that ride we needed to get into college.
To the man that always sat with me and took me to watch wrestling, football, baseball and basketball games with him.
To the man that was always my Star Wars movie date
To the man that always defended me even when I was wrong.
To the man that always did all my paperwork’s and helped me understand all these damn mails I would get because my grown ass still couldn’t do it myself.
To the man that never gave up on me, always showed me love and always motivated me to be a better me.
To the man I was always proud to say was my father.
I’m not sure how I am supposed to go on without you. I’m not sure how to even function without you here.
But I promise I’m going to continue to make you the proudest dad in the world.
I’m gonna go back to school & get that masters degree for you, I’m gonna buy that house and I’m gonna do everything you always told me to do and I’m gonna keep making you happy pops!
I promise the day I have kids they will know who their abuelo is and how amazing he was and how much he would have loved them. If it wasn’t for you, not only would I be lost in this world but I wouldn’t be half the woman I am today!
Thank you for teaching me all the right ways !
You will always be my Ride or Die !

A younger version of me would’ve never believed she’d be the person signing up for races, training for them, and actually looking forward to the challenge.

For a long time, I let the way I looked determine what I thought I was capable of. And if I’m being honest, there were plenty of times I doubted myself before I ever gave myself a chance.

People often have an idea of what an athlete is supposed to look like, but this journey has taught me that strength, resilience, and determination come in all shapes and sizes.

Last weekend’s Bandit Grand Prix was another reminder that you don’t need to fit a stereotype to do hard things. You just need to be willing to believe in yourself enough to start, and keep showing up even when the journey isn’t easy.

Every race means more to me than a finish time. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come, how much I’ve grown, and all the things I once thought were impossible.

And for that younger version of me who never thought she could do something like this… I hope she’s proud.

Because every mile, every finish line, and every challenge I’ve taken on has shown me that the biggest limits I ever faced were the ones I placed on myself. The moment I stopped focusing on what I looked like and started focusing on what my body was capable of, everything changed.

Here’s to continuing to surprise myself, chase big goals, and prove that we’re capable of so much more than we think. 🖤🏁✨

And a special shoutout to @run.herd for creating a space where every pace is celebrated, supported, and welcomed. Being surrounded by people who remind you that you belong exactly as you are makes this journey even more special. ❣️

Crazy how I really did that…

There was a point where I wasn’t even sure I could get through it.
Mentally, physically… everything just felt like a lot.

Life didn’t pause, things didn’t get easier…
but I still kept showing up.

No matter how tired I was,
no matter how off I felt…
I still showed up.

Even on the days I didn’t feel like myself,
I still found a way to push through.

And honestly… I felt vulnerable in more ways than one.
Not just in what I was wearing,
but in putting myself out there to do something I’ve never done before.

And that version of me
the one that didn’t quit, even when it got heavy
is the reason I finished.

This one means a lot to me…
not just because I did it,
but because of everything it took to get there.

I needed this more than I even realized 🤍💪🏼
