In The Heights 🌇🗽

Back in April when I auditioned for this musical, I had no idea where it would take me. This journey has been once of hard work, late nights, lots of boba, and my little brother listening to me sing “Check 1, 2, 3” way too many times. Playing Carla @playsintheparkedisonnj was such an amazing experience. Working alongside such talented people was so inspiring, and I’m so grateful to have gotten to known them.

Coming from an immigrant household 🇩🇴, sharing the story of In The Heights holds a special place in my heart—from Abuela Claudia’s story to the Dominican salon. After every show, I would talk to the people who came by and they all had such kind words. Out of the 8,000+ people who came to see In The Heights, I hope they were inspired by the sueñito of reaching greater heights.

Every performance, I felt closer to my heritage—and it felt like home. ☀️

If you’re looking for a reliable, comforting spot near Columbia, South of the Clouds Noodle House is a must-try! 🍜✨

They use fresh herbs like mint in their Yunnan specialty noodle dishes, and they even have amazing vegetarian-friendly options! ⭐️

💬 Have you tried Yunnan-style noodles before? Let me know in the comments!
