Author of Shadow Bound: in revision 🖊️

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It is so hard not to over share and spoil anything when attempting to give a brief back of the book description of my debut novel, Shadow Bound. Shadow Bound is book 1, of the bound duology. I’m currently in the revision phase and working hard to perfect the first draft for all of you.
While the center of Shadow Bound is romance, it is truly so much deeper than that. It’s quite the journey, and I promise to have you on the edge of your seat 🫣🖤 #writer #debutnovel #fiction #romance by @jasmynewrites_

Making huge strides and working very hard in my writing career at the moment, so I thought I should re-introduce myself and start shifting gears on my social media in regards to almost all things SHADOW BOUND 🖤
-I’m currently deep in the trenches of revision for draft one and omg… writers you were not lying when you said it’s extremely difficult, taxing, and an emotional rollercoaster.
But for now, just sharing a little bit about myself and a little glimpse of Shadow Bound. I’m so happy and grateful to be here, thank you God for planting this in my heart.

Pursuing my writing career has literally taken so much courage, vulnerability, and hard work. Although it may seem like I’m always confident in my writing and marketing my debut novel— it isn’t always like that. There has been so many moments where I’m discouraged, drained and even scared to continue. I don’t always feel worthy, or capable but I’m extremely blessed to have a husband who reminds me just how capable I am, the talent I hold, and the work ethic / drive that runs through me. Couldn’t do any of it without you babe. 💋

This is your sign to leave your usual 4 walls, take yourself out to that cafe and write / revise the scene you need too! I always find working in public places a refreshing thing— specifically the smell of coffee beans, sound of different conversations, and the view of falling leaves outside 🤎🍂 #debutauthor #writer #reader #cafe by @jasmynewrites_

What are you reading this cozy season? 🖤 when I’m not working on Shadow Bound revision, I finished
-The Edge of Darkness trilogy by @authorleighrivers which has now become my favorite dark romance ever. 🥲

As I wrote the first draft of Shadow Bound there was so many songs that I imagined playing for certain scenes or songs that just reminded me of the characters / the story itself, and continue to play in my office as I revise & edit!! 🖤
Heavily influenced by all of these amazing artists 🖤🎧

Favorite time of year has arrived 🧣☕️ I love everything about this season. The crisp air, gloom, change in colors, and the way Mother Nature begins to slow down. I also end up writing some of my best work during this cozy time 🫶🏻📖 #writer #autumn #fall #debutauthor by @jasmynewrites_
