I am extremely excited and proud to present my debut solo album, Northern Rails, live TODAY on all streaming services!
*Spotify link in bio*

Northern Rails is easily the most elaborate piece of art I've ever worked on. Every sound you hear was produced by yours truly -- I even studied a bit of djembe to add some percussion to the tracks! I went into this project with next to no experience in music production, and I managed to record and mix the entire thing on my own.

This is a huge day for me, and I wanna get personal with y'all. The goal here isn't to get streaming numbers or "go viral" or anything like that. My only wish is to share this expression of love and creativity with my friends and family. I believe I've crafted a fun, interesting musical journey, and I want y'all to take that journey with me. ❤️

A few shout-outs:
-Thank you @jordyrainbowtown and @pooley.daniel for teaching me the ways of music production!
-Thank you @beaumanh for your mastering work!
-Thank you @quinntuckerphotos for the album art and for putting up with these songs for 10 months!

Happy listening🚂 by @jason.oberstein

After a grueling 7.25 miles up Yosemite’s tallest wall, breathing in firesmoke the whole way up, Quinn and I decided to record an epic El Cap Hike+Hack. This place is absolutely stunning and I plan to return as soon as life will allow. For now, enjoy volume 5! by @jason.oberstein

So I'm on tour with the @jillmccracken band in Rochester last weekend, and we see this amazing opener at our house show called @einsteinsdreamsmusic. They blew us all away, and in particular this song "22 More" was stuck in our heads for the rest of the tour.

So of course @jordyrainbowtown and I had to bring the tune to our next @flying.turtle.band acoustic show and we had a hella good time with it. Check out Einstein's Dreams and their amazing album Flight Manifest (on Bandcamp)! Promise they play it better than us :) by @jason.oberstein

huge moment. my second full-length album 𝒃𝒊𝒈 𝒅𝒐𝒈 is OUT NOW.

when writing about the album, the multi-talented @kimayadiggs described it as “an explosion of joy, rage, and transcendence”.

i hope you take the opportunity to turn it up loud and feel it all.

i’m beyond grateful for my bandmates, my core collaborators, my j-dogs — @justin.percussion @jason.oberstein @jordyrainbowtown — for their incredible performances and all the love they put into this music.

for @andrew_oedel who is the only guy i ever want tracking or mixing my records, so don’t even try it.

for @magicgardenmastering , @shanedylxn , and @carlyraephoto who never miss.

for @jxndren @ninaswoods @chrischocello and @emaelcloud for their gorgeous sweetenings.

for all of the tons of YOU out there who supported this album financially, spiritually, emotionally.

i have more to say, but for now.

LET’S GO, BIG DOGS 📣🐕

Update! Unfortunately, Temple Mountain will no longer be able to join us. Luckily, I've found another great songwriter to join! Fittingly, his name is @hilltopsunset, and he's gonna tear it up with me and Clarissa. This Thursday y'all, see you there! by @jason.oberstein
