hello loved ones it’s skc. today Lucky Marble is out! I wrote this song sidelong, thinking of devoted deferred luv, singing it to myself driving on the highway. I brought it to Jason who always hears the magic in things, like the doctor who diagnoses perfections instead of problems.

Downstairs at @factoryundergroundstudio (where i am so lucky to have spent this lovely long year) we made it very giddily. and we just couldn’t be happier with the memory and the thing itself. It’s very rare you get to be spontaneous and careful at the same time…

that’s why everybody wants to make music with jason, he can cradle all the ideal parts of a song between his genius hands and ears, and i can just be myself. Singing with jason makes it possible to be sincere and unselfconscious so that’s why you should listen to lucky marble; it’s true! Also for the steel solo. Remember when jason first started on steel?!

What’s more today I turn 24! & there’s so much more 🤍 lucky everything 🪩🪙🍀🚬

thanks @jp.duffey for making the cover w me, jason for mixing delicately, and @jshyloski for the master(s) (lol)

Come to Pete’s Monday to hear it live 🎙️💎🧚 and also thank you to everyone who ran it through a tape (@ndaglio…!) before we decided to not run it through a tape. Lmao. by @jasonaltshuler
