POSTS STORIES REELS

THE FIRST TEASER HAS ARRIVED.

In the high desert of Mexico, the past is never truly gone.

For centuries, the earth has given life to something extraordinary. Ancient rituals, sacred traditions, and a belief that what grows from this soil is more than just wine. Nearly 430 years of history. One extraordinary place. A story that has never been told quite like this. From the filmmakers behind SOMM. Coming soon. Only on SOMM TV. by @jasonbwise

Just back from filming on the border of Georgia / Chechnya / Dagestan in one of the single most beautiful and dangerous places I have ever been. I cannot stop thinking about this magical part of the world and the film that is going to come from it. Huge thanks to @gilauriwines for the opportunity to film in a place that could have been the set for Lord of the Rings. Listen to the @sommtv_streaming podcast for more about the films we have coming - our best stuff we have ever made is on the way. by @jasonbwise

Just back from filming an amazing event in the Mexican High Desert @casamadero - the annual harvest festival that blends native and catholic blessings and celebrations. I have a new @sommtv_streaming podcast that is live everywhere you get your podcasts about what we saw, drank, and ate. After listening to the episode - look for lots more coming to SOMM TV. by @jasonbwise

Mistakes were made.

Jason Wise and I presented at the #VinetoMind symposium at UC Davis. What an incredible event with people from across different disciplines sharing unique ideas in #ai and #wine.

But this was the funniest part! 😂 by @jasonbwise

I was young, I needed the money. Filming in Georgia for @sommtv_streaming has been a wonderful wild experience. I can’t quit you wine by @jasonbwise

We have a new collection live on SOMM TV that dives into the stories, history, food, wine, and dreams of the ancient country of Iran. We talk to @darioushwinery winery about growing up in Iran before coming to Napa to build one of the most beloved wineries in the Valley and what could happen with Iran in the news today. We speak to Moe Momtazi of @maysarawinery in our James Beard nominated conversation about escaping the country with his pregnant wife to make wine in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. We also have director’s commentary and the original film “Cup of Salvation” which won the James Beard award and is one of the only American films to be produced in Iran. Now it is more important than ever to understand how the past shapes the future and why wine and food are so important in telling the human story. Only on SOMM TV. by @jasonbwise
