An absolute honour. @barackobama @michelleobama #obamas by @jasoncstaudt
KDPO has had the pleasure of working with Frank and Sharon van Haandel and the Stokehouse team for the past 10 years, helping reopen the all-new Stokehouse in 2016 as one of Karla’s very first clients. Over the decade since, we’ve worked together on countless campaigns, launches, events and everything in between — and it has been an absolute privilege to play a small part in the Stokehouse story. A huge thank you to Frank, Sharon, Hugh and the entire team for trusting us over all these years. We wish the van Haandels all the very best for what comes next, and Andrew McConnell and Jo McCann every success as they take Stokehouse into its next chapter. A very special one for KDPO. Here are just a few photos from the past 10 years 💛 by @jasoncstaudt
Well! Next week I finish up at Stokehouse. I can’t believe what we’ve achieved in almost seven years. To the guests, the suppliers, and above all the teams, past and present - FOH, BOH & behind the scenes - thank you. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together and everything we’ve achieved along the way. I’m leaving with far more than I arrived with. X JS I know I missed heaps of people, collabs and partners - if I did - thank you. B.C. team pre mask @a_ver_gavino @lauren.eldridge To many talented chefs in a small kiosk shop. What a time. Very fortunate to be able to host some absolute legends up at Goonoo station. The conversation , the questions & time spent was inspiring. Big shout out to Westholme team - the passion for the product really comes thru - and the people on station and off station do an incredible job. X by @jasoncstaudt

“Taste everything always” - we’ve recently had 2 apprentices finish their training with us, and I must say mentorship within our teams is going from strength to strength. Good habits, awareness & hunger to learn is a reminder that everyone is an apprentice, forever. 💪 by @jasoncstaudt

Someone needed to check the UMU. Great experience having Henry with our teams - Gratitude, servitude & respect. Killed it team. X #USO by @jasoncstaudt
St Kilda's @stokehouserestaurant channelled Samoa for this year's @melbfoodandwine festival, with @jasoncstaudt and the team hosting chef @henryonesemo from 20-seat @tala_nzl in Auckland. It was seriously amazing. Warm, gentle vibes. A golden hour for the ages. Food anchored in place and story that was genuinely surprising. Highlights included whitebait and caviar on taro bread. A black carrot tuile hiding silverside tartare a la spam. A smoking coconut that concealed ice cream. Tableside handwashing to symbolise honour and respect. Generous, delicious, meaningful. A dinner that will live in my heart and soul. #mfwf 📹 @foodwinedine #samoa by @jasoncstaudt
Luxury. Sustainability. Innovation. As part of MFWF’s Global Dining Series, presented by the Festival’s official automotive partner @polestarcars, we caught up with chef @henryonesemo of Auckland’s @tala_nzl and @stokehouserestaurant chef @jasoncstaudt for a day by the bay ahead of their Festival collaboration – arriving in style in the all-electric Polestar 3. Recently awarded three hats at the 2025 Cuisine Good Food Awards, Tala has captured global attention for its contemporary take on Samoan cuisine. This March, Henry brings his signature storytelling approach to Melbourne for an Australian first – joining Jason at Stokehouse to present Tala’s immersive Chef’s Journey Menu, where traditional Samoan flavours meet the precision of a modern Australian kitchen. It’s a meeting of cultures and ideas, innovation on the plate, set against St Kilda’s iconic beachfront, and the kind of forward-thinking experience that sits naturally alongside Polestar’s vision for sustainable, electric performance that doesn’t compromise on luxury. Tickets to Tala at Stokehouse are selling fast. Get yours now via the link in our bio. #MFWF #GlobalDiningSeries by @jasoncstaudt
Recently had the privilege of visiting a Wagyu station in QLD & spending some time with the team behind the operation - seeing the vertical integration at work was incredible & how much scale - with care went into every detail. A large amount of land is in good hands. Big thank you to the team & fellow guests for there generosity, hospitality & laughs. Experiences like these deepen the connection between producer & kitchen - a great reminder in a wild world we live in. 📸 by the legend - Jason Loucas by @jasoncstaudt
