I’m honored and grateful to have received a fellowship in photography from the New York Foundation for the Arts and to be counted among such an amazing group of artists. NYFA is an institution which has supported the arts in New York for over 40 years and it’s humbling to now be included in that history. Thank you so much to the countless people who have supported me, without which my work would not have been possible, and for the opportunity this has afforded me to continue creating work in the place I call home.

A photograph of Madison I made out East this past summer. It’s one of my favorite portraits from this year and is also one of the best prints I’ve made in the darkroom lately. You can’t really tell the print quality on instagram, but I’m really happy with it. Thanks to @kaneocean and Carl, who helped me fine tune the color while I made it, and Madison for letting me photograph you. Kane called it “austere”, which I liked. by @jasonecrowley
