Sometimes Parenting Hits Hard… Literally 💥
Today’s video is a tough but honest look at life with our amazing, neurodivergent son, Logan. He’s usually the sweetest, but sometimes overstimulation takes over — and today, I got slapped into next Thursday. 😅

But here’s what matters:
✨ He immediately felt remorse.
✨ We de-escalated calmly.
✨ I reframed the moment, brought laughter back, and reminded him — and myself — that love leads.

Parenting through neurodivergence isn’t always picture-perfect. It’s real. It's unpredictable. But it’s always rooted in patience, compassion, and growth.

Thriftivities: The LA River 😂

Jamie and I came up with some budget-friendly activities for the kids. Because everything in LA costs $400 and we have too many kids each. So we got creative. Too creative. The kind of creative that gets you a visit from CPS.

I'm not saying the LA River is dangerous. I'm saying our activity ideas for it were. Jamie had enthusiasm. I had bad ideas. Together we are a menace to our own children.

This is a new bit. Thriftivities. We find the cheapest possible places to take your kids and then make them worse. You're welcome.

Logan called our cat Buzz an asshole. 😂

I obviously scolded him. We don't talk like that. That's what I said out loud.

Here's what I felt inside: my son is speaking. Forming sentences. Choosing words. Putting them together with attitude and timing and a punchline. We were told by 3 hospitals he would never speak. Not a word. And now he's calling the cat an asshole.

I'm not supposed to be proud of this. I know that. But he looked that cat dead in the face and delivered a perfect insult. With timing. With conviction. That's my kid.

We're working on the word choices. But the words are coming. And every single one of them is a miracle. 💛

The Dark Lord confesses he's evil. Then immediately pivots to his catchphrase. 😂

Anthony looked me dead in the eye and admitted it. He knows what he is. He owned it. I was proud for about three seconds. Then the milk milk chocolate milk thing started and I remembered who I'm dealing with. This kid has a catchphrase like a wrestling promo. He cuts a promo on his own dad. I'm raising a tiny villain with a signature bit. He's not even ten yet. God help us all.

Logan vs Dr. Doofenshmirtz over stolen chips. 😂

Logan took the chips. I had questions. Dr. Doofenshmirtz had to interrogate. None of them were helpful. The chips were gone. The evidence was gone. Logan was already on to the next thing. Doofenshmirtz tried to reason with him. You cannot reason with Logan. You cannot reason with a man who has the chips and no remorse. Behold, the Chip-inator. Logan just started speaking recently after he began to conquer being non-verbal through aba therapy. These fun interactions with him we thought we'd never get. Today is good. He is my hero.

The Dark Lord and Logan tag-teamed me while I call in Cartman to assist. 😂

I was minding my own business. These two coordinated an attack. Through a window. I don't know when they learned to work together but it's terrifying. Logan had the maniacal laugh. Anthony had the strategy. I had no chance. They are lucky they're cute. They are not lucky I'm their dad and 60 other characters. Respect my authoritah.

The Dark Lord does NOT accept losing. 😂

We took the boys to a pumpkin farm. There was a giant slide. Simple enough, right? No. Anthony and I raced down it. He lost. He did not accept this. He demanded a rematch. He lost again. He did not accept this either. He then tried to argue that he actually won but the slide was rigged. The slide was not rigged. It is a slide. Anthony does not back down from anyone or anything, including gravity. This is the same kid who fought three old ladies in a parking lot. The slide never had a chance.

We were at a charity golf fundraiser. The deal was simple. I drive. She navigates. She demands she is to drive. Carrie We almost went into a pond, animals were almost run down. We lost 3 golfers in a hit and run situation. We almost hit a US air marshal. We almost hit each other. The fundraiser was for a good cause and the cause almost became a medical bill. I have questions. Carrie has no answers.
