Our first official family photos!
—finally captured, right at home. You might see two adults and a couple of teens in the recap video and may be wondering, how is this your first family photo? But what you’re really looking at is a beautifully blended family, making memories in our own way.

Instead of a studio, we brought the studio to us—photography lights, a fresh backdrop, and a mini shopping spree at Ross, Burlington, and Sephora to set the vibe. We even had props (though they didn’t make the final cut). What started as a simple idea turned into a full-day adventure, filled with laughter, creativity, and moments we’ll never forget. One of the many cool things about blended families is how diverse the personalities are that light up this house hold. That why “We Are Hooey Are”🥰

The best photo shoot ever, made even better by doing it together. How do you think the pic turned out?

This time last year I did somethin pretty cool 😊. After resourcing a cast of creative geniuses (tagged) @becauseican.foundation put on a FREE workshop for kids and young adults…. ate good too! The first of many to come where they explore the skill of imagination through creative trade. This workshop was catered to the amazing field of photography and set design skills from professionals that are in high demand at a very high level in their field of expertise. Our panel of instructors shared the same level of passion as me and graciouly dedicated their time to giving 100%. 💯💯💯💯. It was great! To THIS DAY I still get calls from both the parents and students for tips tricks and advice. I’m just reflecting but the workshop returns spring of next year and I’m already excited!!!

Happy Birthday to our brother — Jason C. Hooey aka “Skarface” (#27, TAIL) @jasonhooey

Every line has a heartbeat — and for the Fall 2005 K.S. KontrAversΨ line, that heartbeat is Skarface. When people talk about “heart and soul,” they’re describing brothers like Jason — men who give everything they have, pour into everyone around them, and never do anything halfway.

Born and raised in Texarkana and made in Houston, Jason has been a force since day one. From his time in the Marching Storm to his leadership in the College of Business — where the Dean called him “Hustle Man” — he’s always led with creativity, excellence, and drive.

Professionally, Jason serves as a Corporate IT Project Manager and Creative Advisor; however, his vision extends far beyond the corporate world. As the founder of @BMPVision, he has branded over 200 organizations — from Emancipation Park to Yolanda Adams, Memorial Hermann Hospital, PVAMU, and more. Through his foundation, @BecauseICan.Foundation, he mentors youth in creative skills and teaches people of all ages to push past “can’t” and become their best selves.

Outside of business, Jason is a husband, a father of two daughters, and the leader of an incredible household. “A man of many talents, a family man,” one brother said. Another added, “He has a heart of gold. He doesn’t believe in trying — only doing.” And they’re right. Skarface is a jack of all trades — producer, writer, designer, creator, poet, and magician — but above all, he’s the glue that keeps this bond strong.

Twenty years later, Jason remains the heart and soul of the line — steady, inspiring, and always giving back. You’ve carried the weight of the line with love and pride. We see you, Tail. 💎

P.S. If you ever saw those dope outfits we wore at Homecoming 2025, the cold soccer jerseys from 2015, or anything fresh that represented Zeta Beta or our line — know that Jason Clinton Hooey did it.
