BURN THE BOATS.

At some point, you have to stop giving yourself an escape route.

Stop saying, “If this doesn’t work, I can always go back.”

Back to what?

Back to the life you already decided wasn’t enough?

There’s a reason the idea of burning the boats has survived for centuries.

Because when retreat disappears, something changes.

You stop negotiating with yourself.

You stop waiting until you feel ready.

You stop keeping one foot safely planted in the life you’re trying to leave behind.

You figure it the fuck out.

The goal stops being something you’d like to accomplish and becomes something you are committed to accomplishing.

That doesn’t mean being reckless.

It means making a decision so completely that quitting is no longer part of the plan.

No Plan B quietly waiting in the shadows.

No permission to crawl backward when it gets uncomfortable.

You adapt.
You learn.
You get knocked down.
You get smarter.
You keep moving.

And you keep moving until you fucking make it.

Some goals require more than motivation.

They require commitment.

They require obsession.

They require you to look at the shoreline behind you, strike the match, and decide:

I’M NOT GOING BACK.

🔥 BURN THE BOATS.
⚔️ TAKE THE ISLAND.

Ranger Up.

<3>

🫡RLTW

Our family. Our team. Our tribe.🐦‍⬛👑

They’re counting on us— not just to show up every day, but to be ready when it truly matters. To lead from the front. To carry our share of the weight. Share the load. To stand steady when things get hard.

Show up. Stay ready. Be someone they can count on. Drive On.

Men, we need to stop making excuses.

At some point, we have to stop blaming our circumstances, our past, our upbringing, our relationships, our jobs, and the people who disappointed us. Those things may explain parts of who we are, but they don’t excuse who we choose to become.

We need to take ownership. Of how we speak. How we react. Our anger. Our fear. Our insecurity. Our ego. Our health. Our habits. Our relationships. Our failures. Especially the parts of ourselves we’d rather pretend aren’t there.

People are counting on us—to lead from the front, to help provide, protect, encourage, uplift and build. But we cannot consistently be those things for everyone else while quietly falling apart inside.

White-knuckling your way through life isn’t strength. Pretending you’re fine isn’t strength. Letting your ego convince you that asking for help, reflecting, apologizing, changing or admitting you’re struggling somehow makes you less of a man isn’t strength.

Eventually, whatever you refuse to deal with will start dealing with you. The anger leaks out. The resentment leaks out. The exhaustion leaks out. The insecurity leaks out. And the people closest to you usually feel it first.

So check your ego at the door and conduct an honest assessment of yourself. What am I carrying that I haven’t dealt with? What have I neglected? Where am I failing myself? Who have I hurt? Where do I need help? What needs to change?

Then own the answers.

Find it. Face it. Fix what you can. Get help with what you can’t. Then start building.

The people who love you don’t need the performance. They need you—present, grounded and accountable. Strong enough to change. Humble enough to ask for help. Disciplined enough to do the work when nobody is watching.

If people are counting on us to show up when it matters, then we have a responsibility to become men capable of showing up.

Not perfect men. Not invincible men.

Effective men.

Men who know themselves. Men who take ownership. Men who take responsibility. Men who don’t run from what’s broken.

Find it. Fix it. Make it better. Keep becoming better🫡

There comes a point when the life you’re living catches a glimpse of the life you know you’re capable of.

And after that, something changes.

You can try to ignore it.
You can tell yourself it’s too late.
Too difficult. Too uncertain. Too far away.

But you’ve already seen it.

The person you could become.
The work you could create.
The life you could build.

And maybe that restlessness isn’t something that needs to be silenced.

Maybe it’s a reminder.

A reminder that you’re not finished.

There will be setbacks. Rejection. Fear. Exhaustion. Days when the distance between where you are and where you want to be feels impossible.

Keep going anyway.

Not recklessly.
Not desperately.
But deliberately.

One more page.
One more conversation.
One more attempt.
One more day of choosing not to abandon the person you know you can become.

You don’t have to conquer the entire mountain today.

You just have to refuse to walk away from it.

Keep going.

There’s a lot of noise out there.

Notifications. Deadlines. Work. Expectations. Problems that need solving. People who need something from you. A world constantly demanding your attention.

And if you’re not careful, you can spend so much time answering everyone else’s call that you stop checking in with the one person responsible for carrying all of it:

You.

Sometimes you need to shut the noise off.

Step away.

Get quiet.

And conduct an honest systems check.

How am I doing?

Not the automatic “I’m good.”

Actually ask yourself.

Am I rested?

Am I focused?

Am I carrying something I haven’t dealt with?

Am I mentally and emotionally where I need to be?

Am I taking care of myself with the same discipline I bring to everything and everyone else?

Because taking care of yourself isn’t selfish.

It’s readiness.

You cannot continuously run yourself into the ground and expect to keep showing up at your best.

You cannot pour everything into the mission while ignoring the condition of the person responsible for accomplishing it.

And you damn sure can’t be there for the people counting on you if eventually there’s nothing left of you to give.

So every once in a while, disappear from the noise.

Put the phone down.

Take the walk.

Sit in the silence.

Train.

Rest.

Think.

Reset.

Whatever brings you back to center—do it.

Check your equipment.

Check your mindset.

Check your heart.

Check yourself.

Because there are people you love.

People who depend on you.

Dreams you haven’t finished chasing.

Promises you still intend to keep.

And taking care of yourself is part of honoring every single one of them.

So shut out the noise long enough to make sure the person carrying the mission is still good to go.

Reset. Refocus. Recalibrate.

Then get back out there.

Clear mind. Full heart. Mission ready.

“BE THE PERSON PEOPLE LOOK AT AND SAY,
‘DAMN, THIS MF NEVER QUITS.’”

That’s the person I want to be.

Because whatever you want out of this life, at some point you have to decide that you’re going to capture it.

Not wish for it.
Not wait for it.
Not hope somebody eventually gives you permission.

Go fucking get it.

There will be rejection. There will be setbacks. There will be days when you question whether any of the work is actually getting you closer. Doors will close. People will ignore you. Plans will fall apart. You’ll get tired. You’ll get frustrated.

Keep moving.

Because sometimes the difference between the person who dreams about something and the person who actually fucking DOES IT is simply this:

One of them refused to quit.

Keep sending the email.

Keep making the call.

Keep writing.

Keep building.

Keep learning.

Keep showing up when nobody is watching.

Keep knocking on the fucking door until somebody finally opens it.

And if they don’t?

Build your own damn door.

I don’t need the road to be easy.

I don’t need everyone to understand what I’m doing.

I don’t need everyone to believe in me.

I just need to keep moving toward the thing I said I wanted.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Until one day the people who watched you struggle, fail, get back up, adjust, learn, and keep fucking going have no choice but to look at you and say:

“DAMN. THIS MF NEVER QUITS.”

Be that person.

Whatever it is you want—go capture it.

For you ❤️👑🐦‍⬛

I WILL NOT QUIT.

I will not let my family down.🐦‍⬛👑
I will not let my team down.
I will not let the people who put their trust in me down simply because the mission became harder than I expected.

When the plan fails, I will adapt.
When the situation changes, I will adjust fire.
When adversity stands in front of me, I will not retreat from it.

I WILL MOVE TOWARD IT.
I will take care of myself physically, mentally, and emotionally… not because life is supposed to be comfortable, but because when everything starts going wrong, the people beside me need me capable of carrying more, not less.

I will become a force multiplier.
When the pressure increases, I will become more disciplined.
When the weight gets heavier, I will become stronger.
When adversity brings force against me, I will meet it with force of my own… discipline, preparation, resilience, patience, aggression, and an absolute refusal to surrender the objective.

I will adapt.
I will adjust fire.
I will overcome.

And if I get knocked down, I will get back up and continue moving forward.

Not because I believe I am invincible.
Because there are people counting on me.
There are people depending on me.
There are promises I intend to keep.

And there is a mission that still needs to be accomplished.
So when it gets difficult…
GOOD.
When it gets uncomfortable…
GOOD.
When I am forced to become stronger than I was yesterday—
GOOD.

I know exactly what I will do.
I WILL NOT QUIT.
I WILL NOT BREAK.
I WILL NOT ABANDON THE PEOPLE WHO ARE COUNTING ON ME.
I will face adversity head-on.
I will overcome it.

And I will keep moving forward until the mission is complete.
NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE TO ADJUST FIRE TO GET THERE.

Life meets you at your level of audacity.

Not your intentions.

Not your potential.

Not the plans you keep talking about.

Your audacity.

The audacity to decide you want something bigger than the life you’re currently living… and then have the discipline to become the person capable of building it.

Because wanting more is easy.

Everybody wants more.

The difference is what you’re willing to do when nobody is applauding. When the emails go unanswered. When the money is tight. When the door stays closed. When people doubt you. When the excitement wears off and all that remains is the fucking work.

That’s where most people negotiate with themselves.

Lower the goal.
Make the dream smaller.
Wait for permission.
Call fear “being realistic.”

Fuck that.

If you want an uncommon life, stop expecting it to be built through common effort.

Be unreasonable about your preparation.

Be relentless about your discipline.

Learn what you don’t know. Fix what isn’t working. Take criticism without surrendering your conviction. Change the strategy when necessary… but don’t abandon the mission because the road became harder than you imagined.

Audacity without discipline is arrogance.
Discipline without audacity is survival.
But when you combine the two?
You become dangerous.

You stop asking whether somebody is going to give you an opportunity and start becoming capable of creating one.

You stop waiting to feel ready.
You stop treating rejection like a verdict.
You stop confusing temporary failure with permanent defeat.

And eventually, the life around you begins to look different because you became different.

So make the call.
Send the email.
Write the fucking script.
Build the company.
Walk into the room.
Ask for the meeting.
Take the risk.
Do the work again tomorrow.

And when the world tells you to be more reasonable about what you believe you can accomplish… have the audacity to disagree.

Life meets you at your level of audacity.
Raise the fucking level.

There is something deeply healing about simply sitting still.

No music.
No scrolling.
No answering.
No trying to fill the space.

Just sitting… and letting the quiet be quiet.

We live with so much noise around us that sometimes we forget what our own inner voice sounds like. There is always something asking for our attention, something to accomplish, something to respond to, something to consume.

And then there is stillness.

In stillness, the noise begins to soften.

And underneath it, we begin to hear ourselves again.

Our own thoughts.
Our own breath.
Our own feelings.
The little truths we may have been too busy to notice.

I think there is something incredibly tender about giving yourself permission to simply be.

You don’t have to fix anything in those moments. You don’t have to become more productive or figure out your next step.

You can just sit.

Let your shoulders drop.
Take a slow.

Anyways…just my musings for the evening✍️JAC
