Let me introduce myself. I have always enjoyed taking pictures. Since I was a teenager, I would grab all kinds of shots and take the rolls of film to a drug store to have them developed. I went to ENMU in the mid-90’s and graduated with a degree in Psychology and minored in Fine Arts. One of my favorite classes was Photography. I used an old black and white camera and would develop pictures in the darkroom. I still remember the smell of the chemicals. After college, I started working in the professional realm, got married to my amazing wife, and we had two wonderful kids. I had a couple different point and shoot digital cameras in the early 2000’s and enjoyed documenting my kids growing up. Then came cell phones with decent cameras and it was easy to carry around and always available, but I would get frustrated that I couldn’t get good pictures of my kids when they were in school activities. I got a mirrorless APS-C camera on Christmas of 2021. I was able to get better pictures of my kids during school activities in a gym or on a field. I am also an active musician and involved in the local music community. I started shooting live music at our local venue. This enabled me to learn how to shoot in a variety of lighting situations. I also took pictures of my daughter and her friends during prom, and then some senior portraits during their senior year in high school. I started getting even more serious about taking pictures last year and you might see me at a local community event with my camera. I continue to work my full time job and part of my profession is helping people in need. Photography is something I enjoy and I would love to be considered to fulfill your photography needs. Whether it’s portraits or events, I got you covered. 📷: @carissa_jouett
