JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi is delighted to welcome Executive Pastry Chef Jason Licker, ushering in a new chapter for pastry artistry at The Lounge.

Jason's achievements include winning Iron Chef Thailand 2014, authoring Baking With Licker, which was named Best Asian Cookbook in the World at the 2021 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, and Lickerland: Asian-accented Desserts - the only self-published cookbook nominated for the James Beard Awards 2017, one of the most prestigious recognitions in American gastronomy.

With more than two decades of working for many of the world's leading luxury hotels and acclaimed culinary destinations, Jason has established himself as one of the pastry industry's most distinguished talents. His remarkable career spans international culinary competitions, award-winning cookbook publishing, global consulting and culinary education.

Born and raised in New York, Jason has spent much of his career immersed in the diverse culinary landscapes of Asia. These experiences shaped his signature philosophy of "Asian-accented desserts" reimagining classical Western pastry through the flavors, ingredients and cultural influences of Asia, resulting in creations that are both technically refined and deeply rooted in a sense of place.
