There’s an entire industry built to monetize your curiosity, and it’s working. But Paul had a phrase for this two thousand years ago, and it wasn’t a compliment: myths and endless genealogies.

The Bible never claims all conspiracies are fake. Scripture records dozens of them. The warning isn’t about whether plots exist. It’s about what happens to you when you chase them.

You get afraid. You start bearing false witness. And you become useless to the people who actually need you.

Everybody’s talking about church hurt. Almost nobody’s talking about who’s actually doing it.

The conversation runs one direction: institutions wound individuals. Pastors abuse, systems fail, people get crushed. All of that happens, and it’s serious, and we’re not minimizing it.

But here’s what doesn’t get said. Most church hurt isn’t coming from a platform. It’s coming from a pew. We gossip, offend, and hurt each other because we are still… people.

And ask any pastor (and their children) how much the people they lead have hurt them and you’d be shocked… but you’ll never see that on a documentary.

This episode is not a defense of bad leaders. It’s a challenge to the people who make up the body of Christ.

We get into: what separates formation from offense, why correction always stings and why that isn’t evidence of anything nefarious, what to actually do when you’ve been hurt, and how to stop being the person who does the hurting.
