Romero Dance Collective is proud to present Forever and Ever!

This show is the culmination of all the hard work this seasons dancers have put in and we could not be more excited.

Forever and Ever is based on the possibility of infinity that stories provide us and how a tale never truly ends.

This year RDC presents

Craig? - Choreographed by Sam Ketsa @samketsa based off Craigslist’s missed connections. A work exploring could have beens, longing, and the long awaited meet cute.

Madness Within - Choreographed by Sarah Adam @sarahlouiseadam This work is based of the idea of Frankenstein and how we invent and reinvent ourselves over and over taking only the pieces that serve us and mourning the parts we must leave behind.

Oblivions - choreographed by Artistic Director Jason Romero @jasonpromero . Inspired by his love of cosmic horrors. More specifically derived from the works of Arthur C Clark’s “The Nine Billion Names of God” and HP Lovecraft’s “Haunter in the Dark” asks questions about fate and inevitability and human purpose.

The show also features works by company members Anne Beauvais, Cydnee Chaulk, Deanna Ketsa, Emma Straight and Olivia Silva-Gonzalez

Meet us at the confluence 🌊

Romero Dance Collective, Viva Dance Company, and Baker Miller Pink present delta, an evening of emergent dance. Audiences will be immersed in the movement signatures of three vibrant Alberta-based dance companies, featuring choreography by Stephanie Lilley (AD of Viva), Samantha Ketsa (Creative Partner of Baker Miller Pink), and Jason Romero (AD of Romero Dance Collective). Indulge in a celebration of new ideas, new works, and new beginnings.

I’m so incredibly excited to announce my little company will be working with 3 of my favorite choreographers in the city
Diego Ramalho (Ballet Edmonton)
Sam Ketsa (Baker Miller Pink)
Sarah Adam (Viva Dance Company)

These choreographers are being commissioned to work with Romero Dance Collective to create original works.
I will also be creating a new piece this year titled “In Quiet Ways”

Who We Are:
Romero Dance Collective prides itself on being an institution of pivotal dance education and a performing company. Fostering well rounded dancers pursuing a more professional experience in dance. With a strong emphasis on Contemporary and Jazz methods, Romero Dance Collective aims to cultivate confident movers and mindful creators. Led by Artistic Director Jason Romero who brings his years of experience in film and stage, as well as just a deep love of dance to today’s artists to guide them to the next chapter of their career.

Romero Dance Collective is a program that runs September 2025 to June 2026 that works with other professionals and organizations within the dance community to give the Collective an opportunity to feel integrated. RDC Meets weekly EVERY Thursday from 5:30pm-9:15pm. Subject to extra rehearsals and days depending on Performances- all extra days will have a 2-month notice.

The Day will consist of:
5:30-6pm Company Meeting and Check-Ins

6-7:15pm – Technique Class Taught by Jason Romero, Bridget McFarlane and a rotating roster of active dance artists in our community.

7:15-9:15pm – Rehearsal

The way these 17 beautiful Artists found a permanent place in my heart. I am so thankful and grateful that these incredible dancers found their way to me. Each of them individually helped mould what Romero Dance Collective has become and what we put up on stage this year. The outpouring love from our families, friends and the dance community has us over the moon.

I would like to say Thank You to everyone who came to witness all our hard work, we are honoured that you all put time aside from your busy schedules to come watch us do what we love and allowed us to share our passion with you.

I would also like to publicly share how proud I am of all the dancers in this company. Your trust and dedication to this year long process is what made our show as powerful as it was and our Company as strong as it is.

Upwards and onwards! I am so excited for season 2.

Come watch our performance next Friday January 31st and February 1st at the Roxy theatre! It will be the premier performance of my company Romero Dance Collective as well as I had the pleasure of choreographing a piece on the beautiful and talented Orchesis Dancers. The show will also feature work by other amazing dancers and choreographers here in the city. Get your tickets, secure a seat and come and share in our love of dance.
